assassingod 05-07-2005 06:00 AM

The original owner (SaintDog/Jonathon) still holds the domain and hasn't transfered it over. We are trying to contact him so we can renew it:)

Logikos 05-07-2005 09:20 AM

Not it's not. Why is the site down? Is he transfering the name, did the name expire, does this have anything to do with the intergration from vBt and vB.org.

Serenity 05-07-2005 12:02 PM

the name expired

Reeve of shinra 05-07-2005 02:45 PM

Good time to finish that intergration ;)

It has expired and is now in registrar lock which gives the owner a month or two to renew, and no Brad doesn't own it.

And where did you hear/read that?

If you the first reply by assassingod, you would know who owns it, what is going on and what we are doing about it.

sabret00the 05-07-2005 09:14 PM

hilarious thread but i'm with matt on this one ++++ vBT now, this is the time to make sure the merger happens, what's the point in regging a domain just for two months?

Even after the merger the domain would still stay up for some, it would only redirect to this board.

Logikos 05-07-2005 11:34 PM

To flow the traffic sabret00the. One for MarcoH64. :p

However, while the domain is screwed, merge damnit! :p

Brad 05-08-2005 06:23 AM

Everyone wanting to rush the merge, whats that old saying? Haste makes waste :) ;)

memobug 05-08-2005 09:01 AM

Is there an alternate domain name or IP for vbt? I mean names are cool and all, but how about the content?

Regards,

Matt

The IP redirects to the domain unfortunately, so at the moment there's no way of accessing it :)

Pyrix 05-08-2005 09:47 AM

Could stick the IP in your hosts file.. then it'd work.

Nope, it doesn't :(

Tony G 05-08-2005 10:22 AM

I miss my vBT. :p

Anyway, rest assured, we're trying all avenues in trying to contact Jon. Hopefully it'll be successful soon.

Yes, it's not like the merger was announced seven months ago. ;)

Brad 05-08-2005 07:05 PM

If it takes a year to make sure its *right* before we do it for real I'm willing to wait a year :).

I visited vbulletintemplates.com before the announcement and it was dead already... :ermm:

Paul M 05-12-2005 07:46 PM

What is/was vbulletintemplates.com ? I can't remember ever visiting it.

Chris M 05-12-2005 07:49 PM

It was a site dedicated to the modification of vBulletin templates - Many members released template mods to improve the looks and/or layout of vBulletin pages :)

Satan

Paul M 05-12-2005 07:56 PM

Oh.

Why not just have a templates forum here in the vb3 hacks area - you could rename the "Import Scripts" forum, I have never seen anything in that.

Chris M 05-12-2005 08:06 PM

We did used to have a templates forum here, but all template modifications got moved to vBulletintemplates.com for whatever reason the Admins decided to move it...

Satan

Brad 05-12-2005 08:55 PM

vBt was an unoffical site for along time before it became offical, durring this time there was a template forum here. At the time there where a lot of active users posting template mods, many of them begin a 'templates only' version of hacks posted here. We had people like filburt1 turning out multiple modifications daily.

In the last 8 months (maybe longer) it has been rather dead on the posting side, we still got a lot of users but they mostly downloaded what they wanted and left :)

Tony G 05-13-2005 12:24 AM

It was a bit sad, how when things weren't as active, most of our active posters just deserted the place. It made me quite angry at times, thinking me and brad, along with a few individuals were the only active posters left.

Life could have been given to it damn easily, it's just that many "people" only want to post on super active forums. Can you really blame them?

Logikos 05-13-2005 12:46 AM

What i find weird is that vBulletin.com and vBulletin.org are still linking vBulletintemplates.com in there forumslist on the forumhome. Take that off already, it takes like 2 secs to hid a forum. :p lol

Lionel 05-14-2005 12:27 AM

Good thing I had all the good mods from there already :-)

Logikos 05-14-2005 02:56 AM

Good thing i know HTML like the back of my hand.
