Scheduled a recording for it on my new TiVo. I won't be caught dead watching MTV under any other circumstances so I intend to fast forward through all the BS they'll show, including commercials.

Case Western has already seen most of ms's new game console stuff. I was talking to my professior this morning after class. seems like some intresting stuff overall. He couldn't go into too much detail with me about it though.

The second one looks like a 1997 Photoshop job, especially with the use of Arial font.

It isn';t coming out next mnoth..its being revealed. Big difference. Comngi out end of this year or begining of next.

I htink it wil lbe terrible due to the use of a dvd drive...but thaqt jsut me. :)

All three major consoles use DVDs today (the Gamecube's form factor is just different). That's 8.5 GB/disc which is enough for most games, including brand-new ones.

I'm more mad that the hard drive will supposedly be optional and that rumor has it Xbox games won't be compatible with the Xbox 360 (also a stupid name).

Yeah and if you look at the first one, the arrow to open the dvd slot faces upwards, however in the second one, the arrow goes to the side.

What I meant Zach was that the other next gen consoles are not using DVD drioves. PS3 wil lbe using Blu Ray which hold up to 35 gigs where as a DVD can fit like 9. And the Revolution wil lbe using a HD-DVD which can hold like...20? And with the graphics getting better it wil ltake up mroe space. The new formats comngi up are built to hold HD quality things. DVDs aren't made to do that as well. There is a huge difference.

And yes you're right....the modern consoles do you DVD drives.

Huh? All current consoles use DVD. You're being fooled by the Playstation 3 hype if you think Xbox using DVD format is really going to make that much of a difference. :rolleyes:

I don't believe that it's the real thing, just someone's photoshops skills. We'll see May 12th though..

No they are real. They have been released through Microsofts ARG ourcolony.net, These are official. I also have connections ot the inside. There wil lbe three versions. A normal one, a hard drive one, and a pc/xbox/tivo. It will be a full on entertainment center. No these are not unconfirmed rumors these are true as of now but microsoft is still debating the third one. The first two are official thouh. The pc one if it is made will have the power of a G5..so when it coems out it will be a mid grade pc, if it does come out.

The reason the eject buttons lkook diffferent are because the two versions that will be released first will have slight variations liek that.

It does look kinda photoshopped. We'll see, I guess.

Like Dean C said they aren't real pictures but they are photoshops of what it will look like or near look like. I'm tellnig you I got connections on the inside. Now they could be filling me with BS; but I seriously know someone who is working with them.

Well Microsoft/Bungie are really trying there best to push Sony off the market, releasing the X-Box first, and on the day before or the day the PS3 is released, 'Halo 3' is planned to be released, just a game you may think, but it will surely take a large chunk of market sales out of Sony.

This is because Blu-Ray is a new Sony Format that they wish to shove down everyone's throat. I am through with them. No more Final Fantasy for me just because Sony has to be a twit about formats and make them unique to their products. I hope they fail seriously and rethink their incompatible stance on all their electronics products and will only buy their entertainment products (movies, music, games) on standard media. As of right now, I will not purchase another one of their products.

Actually the lu-Ray is becoming accepted by many movie company agencies. Disney is the biggest one rghit now. They're a lot bigger thna peopel think. They make lots of movies you don't know (Not make..but are behind) . They jsut put their name real big on kiddy stuff... Blu-ray is lookngi better to me right now. There are also rumors of sony and (Forgot the HD-DVD company name) trying ot merge the two formts.

Anyway, for those who did watch the show, I'm glad I TiVo'ed it, but not so I wouldn't miss it. It was completely useless except for 10 seconds of actually showing the console. The rest was just MTV useless crap like I expected. I watched the vast majority in fast forward.

I figuredi t would be. It was jsut tphype the console up. I haven't got ot watch it yet.;_;
