User Profile Fields are blank

I'm having some really annoying problems with my User Profile Fields. User Profile Fields don't display the custom fields. I can view them in phpmyadmin, so i know that they are there and the ones i created in the past still display in UserCP.

I compared my profilefield.php with the original one and there are no modifications.

And in case your wondering, yes. My forum is modified to death. I'm running 3.0.6

So any ideas what could be causing them to fail to display?

You mean that the added fields don't show in your AdminCP->User Profile Field Manager anymore?

What about the 4 standard User Profile fields, do they show?

Any screenshots maybe.

Nothing shows at all, even the default ones.

Here's a screeny:

Did you ever manually edit any part of the database that has to do with profile fields?

|Jordan| 04-15-2005 06:30 PM

I dont think so. Should i remake the user profile field table?

Marco van Herwaarden 04-15-2005 07:16 PM

Well i think the database is probably alright. It is showing 2 category headers, meaning that there are fields found for 2 categories.

Did you make any changed to admincp/profilefield.ph or to the admincp styles?

There are no modifications to 'admindcp/profilefield.php'

I'll check admin style.

:surprised: This is freaky..... I'm having exactly the same problem.... and it happened tonight (well I only noticed it tonight but it was ok the last time I was in that area).

The first thing I did was to check the profilefield.php...... it's the original in my case and hasn't been edited since I upgraded the forum back in January.... and I haven't installed any hacks today so I don't think it's something I would have done to the database recently.

Anyway, I did find that if I reload the frame (not the page) it shows up, but I have to do it every time I visit that section. I guess it means it's there, just not showing up for some reason. I thought it was just me having this problem, that I was tired and did something stupid :surprised:

Maybe recently installed one of the compression or other hacks that have a global effect?

Snow 04-16-2005 06:24 AM

Nope I haven't installed any of those hacks. The last hack I had installed was the miserable users hack which I had on a previous version but I forgot to re-do the file edits when I upgraded..... that was a few days ago and I haven't installed anything since.

OMG

I just noticed something very strange.

Everything displays fine in Internet Explorer, but not FireFox (which is what i use).

paulyy 04-16-2005 11:47 PM

I use Fx and it displays fine with me. I sometimes run into a page not loading properly, but I just right click and click reload or open in a new tab and it works a charm :)

|Jordan| 04-17-2005 02:47 AM

It didnt work in a new tab. I probably have an extension that's messing up the page display.

Snow 04-17-2005 08:10 AM

It used to work fine for me with the same version (1.0.2) of firefox and the same extensions. I can't think of what has changed and it suddenly doesn't want to display right.

Princeton 04-17-2005 02:02 PM

remove all your extensions and update to the latest firefox ... 1.0.3

I had a related problem, which drove me crazy since I'm installing for the first time.

My User Profile Fields display in the AdminCP showed no field info at all -- just the column headers and that's it -- using Firefox 1.0.2. Page displayed okay in MSIE.

Just upgraded to FFox 1.0.3 and the page displays properly.

|Jordan| 04-19-2005 04:39 AM

Ok, now this is weird. It's working again and i didnt even changed anything.
