Can't log in to the Admin CP!!!

Hello, for some reason I've started having a problem logging in to my Admin control panel. I know the user name and password is correct, but it just brings me back to the login screen. It say either i'm not an admin, or i'm not logged in.

Any thoughts??

Anyone?

Sounds like a cookie problem - have you changed something ?

Mobo 03-07-2005 08:20 AM

Nothing has been changed forum wise. I have not even had to login to the admin area in months.

Try logging in from a different PC if you have access to one.

Okay, finally got another computer to try logging in from. I can login on this other computer. What would be causing mine not to login though?

Try manually deleting your cookies from the PC that give you problems:

In Internet Explorer:
Tools->Internet Options->General->Settings->View Files->find the cookies for your domain and delete them (or just delete all files in there)

Hummm, there is no cookie in there for this domain.

Also, if I use Mozilla on my computer, I can log in. So it looks like it is just an IE thing.

I mostly have this problem in this situation:

When you have another vB forum, which is located @ <theforum>.yourdomain.com or youdomain.com/<theforum>.

IE then f*s it up, but firefox does OK.

True multiple boards on teh same domain can cause problems if not configured correct.

@Mobo
Try adding the domain to your privacy settings in IE to always allow cookies (Tools->Internet Options->Privacy->Sites)

I do have two forums, but on different domians. Also, adding the privacy settings did not help.

Go to your ACP, and somewhere in the settings it should say "Cookie Domain". If you post that, it might help.

I'm still running 2.3.2 on this site. I did not find Cookie Domain anywere.
