Does anyone here use the payed subscribtions system and....

Does anyone here use the payed subscribtion system on their forum and has had someone pay for the subscribtion with paypal within the last week?

I used paid subscriptions, but have not had a donator in the last week. Are you experiencing problems?

It works fine. Two issues I had, though:

1. I had to change the subscription scheduled task run interval from 1 day to 1 minute to give the illusion of instant gratification.
2. I have had at least one payment that I know of that was not properly applied in vB, which I think (but am not sure) was caused by the addition of state sales tax.

I'm using 3.0.7, as everybody should by not letting their installation go stagnant.

i alwyas get Item #1_3 - Notification of Payment Received from (email@domain.com)

this type.

Jenta 02-28-2005 03:54 AM

Thanks for clearing that up for me!

very strange, im at my wits end trying to figure out why lately they ALWAYS come as "Notification of payment received"
If it works for you and not me it's got to be a vBulletin issue on my end and I havent touched paypal.php or funtions_subscribtions.php.

Jenta 03-01-2005 02:16 PM

argh, im still lost
set up a test board so everything is absolutely positively perfect with my vb install
did a test payment and same thing
IPN is working fine. I see the 200 OK in the logs from the paypal server. I see the transaction immediatly in admincp
But the subject lines are all coming "Notification of payment recieved" without the user id and the item number as I would get before

Heres a screenshot of my emails

anyone have any clues? going on 5 days for a paypal response

Have a look here:

It seems you are not alone with problems. Seem this is a problem at the side of paypal.

Jenta 03-01-2005 03:38 PM

i dont know really
seems they are talking something besides the subject line and as shadiguy1 said...

unless he just said that to just say it then im under the presumption its only affecting me

my issue is the subject line in the notification emails, everything else works
its just the format of the subject line that has all of a sudden stopped giving details.

perhaps if i got a 2nd confirmation from someone else here besides shadiguy1 that their subject lines are like this Item #1_3 - Notification of Payment Received
i would feel a lot more confident that its only me with a 2nd confirmation
surely someone else here has had a subscribtion lately

but remember, it must be recent! not a subscibtion you got 3 weeks ago

notice how im my attached image its mostly the recent ones
the earlier ones without details are from donate buttons so i dont expect user ids to be there

That topic is over a year old .....

Jenta 03-17-2005 02:03 PM

well its been a couple of weeks since i asked this
perhaps someone else besides shadiguy1 has had a paid subscription come thru

here's the question again: What the subject line look like?
this one: Notification of payment received

or was it similar to this: Item #1_3 - Notification of Payment Received from (email@domain.com)

also can u be specific and tell me what the date of the emai notification was

thanks!

ps. I have asked paypal and have not gotten a response
