ecDownloads 3.2 Legacy

ecDownloads 3.2 Legacy (vBDownloads) is available for vBulletin 3.0.x

What is ecDownloads?

It is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, create folders, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options. Sorry, no screenshots. Maybe if someone is nice they will provide a link to the latest version of ecDownloads for everyone to view it.

Changes in 3.2

- Too many to list... its a whole new world :D

Known Bugs:

- Missing phrase in add file (on nav bar)
- No file protection, add it here if you want: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=174
- Missing phrases (ecdownloads_can_edit_all and ecdownloads_can_view_disabled) in admincp

Install

Make the file edits in ecDownloads.txt
Upload the contents of 'upload' to your forum directory
Run the downloadinstaller.php file in the admincp (install/rebuild styles and phrases)
Create a directory called 'downloads' (or whatever you put in your settings) and make it writeable and executable

Time: 5-6 Min

- Upgraders should remove the CRON that they originally set up

hum.. this is becoming annoying, everytime someone release a tool for files downloads, they call it vBDownloads.... please, be more imaginative.. there is 3 or 4 vBDownload released in the last month...

i'll take a look btw... maybe this one is complete!

i get this error when trying to upload
Invalid SQL: UPDATE user SET uploads=uploads+1 WHERE userid ='1'
mysql error: Unknown column 'uploads' in 'field list'

and this when trying to download
mysql error: Unknown column 'uploads' in 'field list'
what did i do wrong?? nice hack !!

This looks great (good work) i've been working on something similar for my site (www.limudim.org - beware in hebrew) but messed up some parts (too lazy for my own good) im installing your hack right now on my home comp, asuming everything goes ok ill be adding it to my site shortly

im getting a Cannot find phrase blah blah message when performing tasks, and im also getting a javascript error on downloads.php on line 379:

<body onload="preloadImages();">

is the offending line and the problem is Object Required.

It seems when i look at bonnmac's reply that it is missing a mysql part in the installer. Looks if it is not working properly now, i'll wait installing this. Looks very cool though.

This hack has been operational on my board off and on for two weeks, long before you ever released anything. Ask lopez... we have been talking about this hack for ages. (juanph = username)

Database error in vBulletin 3.0.6:

Invalid SQL: UPDATE user SET downloads=downloads+1, downloadtime='1106833679', lastdownload='Deviated Wallpapers'
WHERE userid='1'
mysql error: Table 'dvdb.user' doesn't exist

mysql error number: 1146

getting this error.

my db runs on vb3_ prefix, how to fix this ?
I need to get this running within 2 hours before going out :(

Untill now i can see it works on a testboard. It produces the javascript (object) error as mentioned before though and this:

That is only for admin tasks?and I didn?t include them. Just create admin_stop_panel messages if you want them.

Yes. It works with all versions 3.0.0 to 3.0.6.

I am considering including a multi-image feature that will allow you to more than one image per file. There will be no limit, as I will keep the images in a separate table and just allow admins/moderators/ppl with permission to select which images should appear.

did you run the install? the installation creates that user field.

also, you need to chmod your upload folder.

The chmod whas indeed the cause of the safe mode error, fixed. But the new add in the tables is still missing (???)

I updated, now the file atleast uploads.. but the downloads dir is still empty and it gives this error when I try to click download
