PM All Members via Email Form (v1.1)

This mod provides you with an option to PM All Members instead of Emailing them on the "Send Email to Users" page. insanctus is the original author of this mod, who has given me written permission to re-package, distribute and support this. His version can be found here.

v1.1 is an improvement of the original in several ways..
? Full compatability with table prefixes.
? 100% fully phrased.
? More closely based on the "sending email" functionality.

To upgrade, you'll have to completely re-do all of the edits again (and add the phrases). Sorry!

Version History:
? [high]1.0[/high] - Original mod release by insanctus.
? [high]1.1[/high] - Mod taken over by me, added compatability with table prefixes, fully phrased and more closely based on the "sending email" functionality.

Please click install if you find this useful.. :)

The original version does, so I see no reason why this shouldn't.. :)

Great hack!

rookie7 01-16-2005 07:30 PM

When Pming, if you specify the "from" as "Operating Manager," or something other than your username, will it show as "Operating Manager" or will it show your username?

yoyoyoyo 01-16-2005 07:32 PM

No matter what is specified in "from", the PM will be sent with the admin's username that sent the PMs.

Can this be updated to only send certain usergroups the email?
Also,it would be nice to have Moderators have the same capability.

The "Send Email to Users" page already has a usergroups filter built in.

The PM instead option also uses this filter.. ;)

What about the notify all members via email that they recieved a PM snippet. did you add that?

Nope, as it would defeat the purpose of PMing members rather than e-mailing them in the first place.. The original addon that insanctus mentioned in his thread should still work for this new version though.

Kaishi 04-29-2005 01:38 AM

does this bypass any user set permissions, such as recieving email or PM from admin?

nothing change but phrases and prefix. I'd think this hack should be added to insanctus, or ask him to update his version, or add-on, intead of releasing a new hack.

just my 2c

[high]* mtha not install, but still click install, for tracking with my installed hacks :D[/high]

Well since he's banned from vbulletin.org, it's a rather patchy area.. ;)

Can this mod be used with 3.5? If not, is there a plugin for this?

Any Update for 3.6 ?

CrystaStarLight 04-19-2007 08:39 PM

Yes I'd like to know if anyone can update this for 3.6 too. Even though the maker was banned is there anyone that knows how to do it? When I try for 3.6 the coding in email.php is different and I won't mess with the coding if thats the case.
