Sam2 Broadcaster addon
 

I have the shoutcast status mod installed currently but I am using the shoutcast broadcaster software which allows you to display all songs on your pc on a website which then allows people to select what they want to hear next in the queue etc.. I think it would be great to have a hack for that which allows integration with sam2.

I do not have the Sam2 Broadcaster software to work from. I read about it, sounds nice.

Yeh.....I'd also be very interested in this!

If there is someone w/ SAM up and running that I could play with. I could see what I can come up with.

Ya I got a gap in the work, but not a lot.

- What type of server do you use w/ the SAM ?

i havent used it on my site yet , i have tried MYSql+Sam . Sam runs on my home pc Windows XP, and its remotely connected to my Server MySql which is on Linux.

But this same thing can be done on localhost too.

- what system do you connect to for the streem (shoutcast, other ) or is the server that the clients connect to for music self contained ?

I use Shoutcast to stream it to the server. The Music is on my home pc frm where its broadcasted.

So all the clients connect to a shoutcast server ?

- I have 2 hacks out that list stuff going on w/ a shoutcast server.
(lite, full - forumhome, CMPS block)
- @ the moment it will only show 1 feed.

This will look @ the server you send the feed to and report back info on the server.

Hmm that will be just a simple way of displaying the current song. Sam2 broadcaster, that script gives users the option to request the song & dedication n stuff like that. It will be great if you can integrate that things.

Check this site http://www.desi-radio.com/ , this is only sam2 broadcaster with its phpweb files. If you can integrate the Search n Request thing with vbulletin. It wil be gr8.

I use SAM2 also, it's a great application and I love this hack. I would like an auto refresh for the site. SAM2 will push the current song info to the server that you stream to and the player (ie Winamp, WMP, etc) will update as well, but you have to refresh the page in order the see the current song strolling across.

Also is there a way to add the Shoutcast block to the forums page? Forgive me for being greedy.
