Ventrillo
 
Was wondering if there was a hack availiable for a program called Ventrillo
very close to teamspeak.

In my experiences Ventrilo is extremely hard to get the status of - Unlike Teamspeak it doesn't have an open port you can just connect to. The only way to get the info of one is to run an extra program that you either then connect to from a script or it sends it to an IP (I can't remember which it was exactly) I switched to TeamSpeak because of it - I wanted the status on my site but Ventrilo was becoming a bear to figure out.

thats to bad Ventrillo is a great program and in my eye's superior to TS.

I have tried them both. TS is MUCH better than Ventrillo on all accounts.

It really depends on what the function for the 2 are. Sure Ventrillo has some cool features such as chatroom,The annoying voice thing,Ability to create as many subchannels as necessary...But if you are running a decent size group. It simply doesn't have many awesome features which aid in this like TS does.

However if all I was doing is running Clan Matches with less than 10 people. I would choose Ventrillo because the Sound Quality is better and has less hangtime.

The ventrilostatus script which is an external program can be run from your webserver.

I am working on a block like teamspeak for ventrilo for vbadvanced.

Maybe after 3.5 goes gold, i'll create a version of both for the forums itself.

Are possible we still what to expect jugo, we use ventrilo on our server, and we like it.
