Who was online last 24 hrs?
 

im looking for "Who was online last 24 h" mod.
there is one mod here for that by VBDev..but i can see that many members have had major issues after installing it and others while they tried to un-install. can anyone here point out if there is a clean and tested for mod.

my site is running cmps on /home and forum on /home/forums.

vbulliten 3.0.3 and cmps 1.0

any help on this will be greatly appreciated!!!

I think they mean somthing that everyone can see. I looked at the mod available and it looked very troublesome and didn't quite do what I wanted, so I wrote my own "Members who have visited today" hack. It starts from midnight each day and displays under the "currently online" section on the forum homepage. My notes are not really suitable for release as they stand, but I suppose I could tidy them up if people are interested.

I think people would be interested, Paul. Please read this thread before releasing it just in case permission is required.

There is one about somewhere, because I've got it, and mine looks very similar to yours, if you ignore the little 'man' icons which I only added yesterday :D

I changed mine to 'last 24 hours' so it always looks full, but by default it reset at midnight (server time).

Unfortunately I am buggered if I can remember where it is, I guess it's in the forumhome modifications section.

No permission would be required, it's not based on the existing hack. It's much simpler.

Incidently - it does correctly show invisible users to those who should be able to see them, as well as using any username colouring you may have set in the usergroups settings.

MickDoneDee, yes, guests cannot see it - it's a member only benefit :)

Mark, obviously I know you can see it - the existing hack went overboard for what I wanted, and I didn't like the display - so I just wrote a bit of code and template changes myself.

I'm not in any hurry to tidy it up or release it - as one already exists - I may do it if I have time, but if you want a copy of my notes you can, they should be clear enough for any technically minded people to make the changes (1 piece of code, 1 template change).

Paul supplied me with a text file which contained the code to add. Very simple installation and works like a charm. Thanks Paul.

I also installed Proxy ip to real ip conversion which also works like a charm. Thanks for sharing these good hacks.
