Flash Poll system (non-vb)
I am releasing a flash poll system that I would like to share with the entire vb community. It comes with 3 skins, fla source. You can see it in action on http://www.sportsrant.com/forums
there are complete instructions on how to install and create a new poll. It is not tied into VB whatsoever! it is a seperate system, but You can include it on any page on your site with the code that comes from the settings in the admin area It can be placed onto the side bar like you see on my forums, it has some nice features. I will support this here, it is not really beta, but since it is new, I released it here!! Thanks MIke UPDATE 11/1/2004: I have updated the package completely with better install instructions. I changed the tables for the database to have a prefix: flash_poll & flash_access. Please download the package again from the link above and it will not conflict with your vbulletin tables what so ever. There is a new install.htm in the package to make it easier to read once you have the install in place. |
it looks nice but i dont like the idea of having it at the side of forum just seems to make the forum look like its being pushed aside lol
can it be put in a thread such as this for example? dean looks good though ;) |
I mean it can be put in a thread if you allow html in that forum, but It can also go on anypage on a site using the code from the settings area.

I forgot to add in the install instructions
Once you create a poll, you have to go into the poll list and turn it on by clicking on the "open" and then your poll should show |
Thanks, it's meant to be released on VBAdvanced CMPS from what I understand rather than on the side of the forums.
|
It can work on any HTML/PHP page, you can add it anywhere with the code!!! If you have a sidebar in your forums like I do, you can add it there, you can add it to your normal home page, to vbadvanced, whatever man
The <emd src> call to the flash poll makes this possible |
I can't seem to get the poll to display - all i get is "Loading data please wait" notice?
Any idea what is wrong? |
Did you activate the poll or I mean "open" it in the settings?
Try that and if that does not work, do me a favor and contact me on one of my IM's |
My mistake, sorry - all working now - thanks I will give it a good testing.
|
seems to be quite buggy - I had 8 choices and only 6 would show - after I voted it, my vote showed at 100% as you would expect but then with a refresh all choices read 12% but still with my only one vote!

You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1 |

It works fine . . but the problem that I need your suggestion about is : displaying other languages In my case is : Arabic How I would be able to write an Arabic text on the flash .. this is the only problem : ( Any ideas? |
