Working on a Postnuke rewrite

I have been rewriting postnuke inside and out, to make it have full compatability with vbulletin. It will have backwards compatibility with the postnuke modules. Anyway, I want to know how many people would want this, and if enough people do, I will release it as a free hack next month once I get all of the glitches out. :nervous:

Would be great, I think postnuke is one of the better and more stable portals! Anyway, I'm looking forward to this release!

Your not the first, and you wont be the last, but with any nuke coding there are secutiy holes large enough to drive a semi though.

Personaly id start from scratch or just use vBa CMPS :)

Is it really THAT bad? Even postnuke?

Would be too bad because vBa and vBi don't even come close to suit my needs as I think they are just a very thin skin very tight arround the basic forum and are not really suited for managing real content as postnuke could.

www.editize.com seems pretty good. I mean look how well sitepoint have integrated it with vB :)

You're kidding, right?

I thought it was just the WYSIWYG Editor because thats all I seemed to get in the trial.

So did I, I'm assuming it's a lot more ^^ :s

Yes, anything based on nuke's code is that bad, vBa is very expandable and Brian does exelent custom coding :)

Try Mambo

Postnuke and its variants are very query-intensive, at least the early versions that I've looked at.
