vBindex 3.0.0 RC5 - avatars?

As admin, I can't seem to get my avatar off the main homepage under the News content. Also, my smilies do not show up on the portal page, either.

What's going on ?? :ermm:

Thanks.

please ask questions under the proper thread regarding vBindex,

this forum is for RELEASES, as it's stated in the title... thanks.

vBulletin.org Forum > Code Modifications vB3 > Full Releases (Subforums) > Portal Software

this section is for hack releases not queries

I'm starting to think a moderation queue on hack releases might be a good idea!

Does this mean you've given up on vBadvanced? :disappointed:

Yeah cause this is the first time this has ever happened. No need to be an jerk when a perfectly plausible idea is put forward

Alright everyone -- would you please send me the proper link to the area in which I should post my question? Apparently, where I think it should be posted is not the same place everyone else thinks it should be.

Thanks very much.

The thread containing the hack from which you got the vBindex files would be the proper place..

Thank you, but I did not get/install this hack. I got someone to do it for me which would explain why I had no idea how to find the proper forum. Perhaps before being nasty to the next inquirer, one might consider this possibility.

13th_Disciple 08-13-2004 03:49 PM

perhaps searching the forums for vBindex would have yielded you better results. it's the very first thing that comes up when doing a search based on the hack you have installed. regardless of who installed it, you should have searched for what you needed.

also, check the home of vBindex - http://www.coreforums.net - for further information regarding your issue/s. Note: this is not being rude, this is being helpful in order to avoid being rude.

SpottyPoo 08-13-2004 04:52 PM

Gee, I never woulda thought of that. Wonder why I didn't do a search on vBindex 3.0.0. RC5 like I should have in the first place?? Hmmm...must not be bright enough. Didn't even dawn on me to do as many searches as I possibly could before posting questions on this sometimes-hostile board. *smacking self on forehead*

And I don't care how "unintelligible" or "uncomputer savvy" in your definition you think someone is: you should never be rude. What does that accomplish?

Maybe someone with the abilities could move this thread to the help forum?

(On the subject of posting incorrectly, had you read the 'Read this first before you post a hack' Announcement that is at the top of the Portal Software Forum, you would have seen that this was not the correct forum. This is why people go to the trouble of posting Announcements.)

SpottyPoo 08-13-2004 05:32 PM

Again, WHY didn't I think of that??? *sigh*
