I highly doubt you'd make much money off vBulletin-related affilate programs. Adsense all the way :)!

i just set it up got approved and copied the code into my forum

but when members try to use the searc halls it does it take them to the main forums

I used to use adsense, but now I use the new CPM ads from azoogleads.com.
Just had one up on my site at $16.00 cpm.

That is very high.
May i ask what type of website you are using ( what content theme is the site ) and how many impressions you receive.

Also.. what type of advertisment generated the $16? Was it a standard 486x60 banner?

You can't make money with affiliates anymore. The business is DEAD.

Why? No one likes links and banners. they're scared ++++less of them as if they were some kind of virus and somehow that anything with a referal ID is "SPAM"

I'm not sure who you can thank for this. Maybe it's the email spammers for screwing it up for everybody. Maybe it's the nazis disguised as webmasters that won't allow a URL posted anywhere on their half-ass site? pffft.

If you gotta busy site, Google might be nice enough to send you $30 a month... Hardly worth it, considering how strict they are and all their idiotic policing.

All in all, adult converts. But that's a full time job that takes a lot of matinence and targetting.
