To be Released to all you stats junkies!!
 

Hey guys, you may have noticed my Signature Stats hack... Well here's a new one, I will be releasing soon, however you need flash to edit the logo etc.

This hack will give you:

• Live stats that update every 15 seconds
• A small program that clips to the top of the screen, which shows an external flash file

Take a look at the screenshot provided and give me a rating to show what you think. A version of the program may be released on 21-06-2004.

Good work Dan - I'd be intrigued about how you get it working with Flash ... (always wanna learn something new...)

Ah, well if I get enough replies (looking for about 30 replies) then I will generate instructions and also give out some information for ActionScript developers too :)

Also, I am thinking about doing something like what vB Advanced homepage spits out, but in an info bar like you find on the right of windows longhorn previews.

So youve got all the latest posts etc and it updates every minute or so, would be quite cool I think.

I cannot post it just yet, it will be Monday hopefully, I just need to try it out with a few other people first, then if it works perfect, it will be released straight into the modifications.

I need to modify the programming of the application which the flash file runs in too, to make sure you can change the colour scheme of the controls too.

i am not clear. what the hack does yet ??

It shows your forums stats at the top of your desktop, there was one similar for vB2 i think.

DWard, You've posted this in the beta release section, this is where you actually release a hack, that you think may have some bugs in, hence it beeing a beta, its not where you post to see what people think of it etc ;)

Please don't post releases in the releases forum until they are actually ready with zip or instructions attached :) I've moved your thread to the appropriate forum :)

No problem ;) Some ideas for your mod. Why not have it update every x seconds/minutes/hour(s). I.e. a user-defined setting in the PHP file :)

Yer could do, I noticed the file I have to call for the variables is only about 58bytes in total, which is quite goo because it will take up barely any bandwidth.

My forum is about freedom of speech and I'm afraid you shouldn't look at it if you dont like that.

Sorry, but there are a few bugs with it, and I am rather busy, therefore the hack will not be fully released until roughly september time, its a very long wait, sorry guys.
