Pill that prevents you from getting drunk?
 

I remember hearing about a pill that helps prevent a person from getting wasted. I wanted ot know the name of it and whether it works or not. I am gonna be doing some serious drinking tomorrow and I would like to avoid getting wasted. I would just do the obvious and not drink and as much but I have something important riding on this.

I can think of nothing (well, one thing beyond the scope of this forum) that could possibly force you into getting alcohol poisoning.

FYI it doesnt prevent being drunk it just stops the "Hangover" effect the next day, dunno how well it works but i know u can find them like sweets in NY... least thats what UK tv made out :p and soz dunno the name

From personal experience the perfect hangover cure is ironically more alcohol:) (It's true!!:D)

What Dave said is right :) It only prevents the hangover "feeling" in the morning. It won't prevent the headaches and vomiting.

Pah, don't drink if you fear the consequences....

Exactly ;) Have you guys heard about what they're doing in Portugal 2004. Letting the fans openly smoke dope with a confirmation of no consequence in the hop it'll let the calm down. :p

That doesn't change very much then. You still get the headaches and vomiting, which is the most irritating bit of it. ;)

I'm not to worried about the hangover, ... they are usually caused by dehydration so a glass of water after every drink or two really stops that. I just didnt want to get wasted. thanks for the input though.

Drink as much as you want. Just be sure to have at least a full glass of water every other drink or so. Before you turn in for the evening, have two aspirin with your final glass of water (or tylenol, ibprofen, whatever you can have).

Have a barbeque in between every 4/5 pints. Sorted me out.

But if their caught drunk, then their arrested, Its a mad world, then again, different people react differently too the effects of Dope, i know some people who it makes hyper or violent so really their talking crap :) if their that worried about the violence, either put everyone in str8 jackets or make everyone watch the match on tv :p, would be fun 2 see a match with an empty arena

Its called "Chaser" and all it does is help prevent bad hangovers. I have a bottle right here and it does work! You'll still feel a little weak the next day but at least you can get outta bed and function. But like someone said above.. The poison is the real cure! :D

Just don't act like an idiot, its fine to be drunk as long as you aren't driving and not making an ass of yourself.

Sure, but if you have to go out in public while your on something there is no reason to act stupid. People trip over begin intoxicated in public for some reason, alot of them fail to relize that if you don't draw attention to yourself in the first place you have nothing to worry about.

Im sure im not the only person in the world that gose to the shop stoned out of my mind. In fact I know im not, because I see kids my age all the time out in public acting like idiots, if you can't control your buzz you should'nt be around a bunch of other people imho.

That is a weird concept. Usually, people drink heavily to get wasted.

I just drink a couple of glasses of water (big ones though) in which I have added some salt and sugar, and the next morning before going to bed, and again, next morning. And I?m never hungover :)

Yeh I tried them...they are called RU21, they sell them in Superdrug in the UK, god knows what your equivalent is in NYC :rolleyes:

and hell yeh they work, I was getting wasted at my uni and popped one every other drink then I was getting back on the beverages the next day at 11.00am, no bull. Normally I would need a quiet night in between but I was rolling on strong for 5 days...although the day I didn't drink...I died :disappointed:
