[uShop] Action request thread
 

Well, I've taken it upon myself to start coding actions for the uShop. If anyone has any ideas for actions, please post them and I will do my best to code them. :)

I'll update this list as people suggest ideas, and update it again when I have completed the action by adding a link. If anyone wants to help me, I would appreciate it, but I should be fine for now... Until people really start coming up with lots of ideas.

Please note: This thread is not for discussion of hacks. I would appreciate if you only posted if you have an idea. Thanks! :D

Already suggested: (Will update as people suggest.)

• Usertitle Immunity so users can't change your title for x minutes/hours/days etc
• Bypass Flood Control
• Open/Close a topic
• Points for registering (can be done already by setting default points to a non-zero value in phpmyadmin)
• lottery
• change other users avatar
• change other users signature
• signature upload
• buy discount 10 / 20 / 30 percent etc
• post calendar event
• upload profile picture
• edit poll results
• change other users title with bbcode
• track donations who you gave to and who has given to u store item (Already possible through history)

Italic = Not sure if it's a great idea, but will get around to it.
Bold = Large amount of code required, will take longer.

Temporal sub-forum acces

you pay for gain acces to a subforum, but thath pay have a limited time (ex. a week) when the week have passed, if you want to regain acces, you have to pay again, and also ceirtan usergroup keeps except for this

Group steal

in theaf mode, you can group steal, when you type the username who you want to rob, a field next you can input the username of more users, they get a pm and if they confimr they want to help to the lead to make the rob, if greater the user number who confirm positive the rob, greater the chance to sucessfuly steal and also the money steal get divided in fear parts

Item shop

well the admin via acp create items, like cellar phone, etc, the items doesn't have any use, the items can get stored and see by others users by clicking in a icon in postbit, just items to buy and see, and also if they can get their own shop to sell at any price they want they're items, but they only can get the items by pucharsing it in the admin store, also trasfering it will de nice

Extra cash by long post:

the user get payed by the lenght of they post
not by the whole post, just by their lenght ex: if user a type 200 letters
the 200 can be multipled by a number set in ACP like .5 so he recive 10 points

Temporary Subforum Access -- Yeah, easy. :)

Group steal -- Hmmm... Not bad idea I guess, but then you'll have a few users constantly stealing until they've drained a user dry, then they'll move to the next target. Not the way I want websites to work, but maybe someone else can do this one. :)

Itemshop -- I'll be coding an integral RPG later, this will be part of that.

Long post cash -- Nice idea, I like it. I'll see what this will take to do though.

1.buy action as a gift for someone else
2.make bank interest per usergroup

As a side note, I wouldn't recommend anyone to make any actions if possible until the next release, as there will be some changes with the way input fields, etc. and probably history are done to make it a lot better.

Buy discount actually wouldn't take a lot of code changes - it'd take 2 changes I believe.

It will when I can get my computer to cooperate with me.

i'm also confined to my laptop until my computer gets fixed
not sure if its the memory chip or any of the other components
and i already replaced the motherboard , cpu and atx casing

Well, unfortunately a good kick cannot fix a stubborn sometimes-it-almost-works-somewhat harddrive and a BIOS that only knows what it's doing half the time.

Alright, well, as advised by Link, I won't be coding any actions until they've got a better format for the action code. :)

but how about a fix for the bbcode usertitles in private messages :o

I don't really know if this thread is still open but:
1)- would it be possible to add a PayPal exchange system where users can also buy points?
Leads to my second questions:
2) Is there somewhere a manual (or any kind of HOW-TO) to create actions_somewhat.php files. I would like to use this awesome systems to allow visitors and/or regular members to use this AWESOME feature tu put add on the forum. This action should interact with another MySQL database.

I think something that would be very useful (maybe you can already do this but I'm not seeing it)... using your points to buy a paid subscription.

Seems like it could be easy to do but I know nothing about PHP :D Maybe add the option to VB's subscription?

I need it to add the user to the subscription table so that there is an expiration date, otherwise I'd just have it update them to the premium usergroup.

I also need something not related to this hack, and I've seen many complaints about the same thing... if anyone's seen a hack that I might have missed please let me know: the option to set someone's subscription up in the admincp! Again, you could just put them in the premium usergroup, but we need it to expire.

dstruct2k - I'd be interested in the change other's avatar add-on in particular. Do you have any idea when you might release?

This is not realy a track donation. Everybody can see the Donates. Isn't it possible to see all in the User Historie?

I think an action a user forces for hidden Posts points to pay.

The creator contribution is to decide how many points it for the contribution received wants - only if the user pays it, it can also see the post.

Midi or MP3 in profile would be great. I've been wanting that for a long time. I also like the idea od changing someone else's avatar. :D

yes, buy own custom avatar should be the first priority.

i dont think anyone is working on this still, I was hoping to find some of these updates.
