Anyone watching The Semifinals currently?

Who of you will watch, today's semifinal between Ronny O'Sullivan and Steven Hendry.

I'm sure, it will be a hard fight between them, so i have prepared everything for a perfect Snookerevening.



So, am i the only Snookerfanatic on this board, or are there more? :)

You're not the only one. I play 3 days a week at the club I belong to and Saturday it's league and tourny night.
I won't be watching but my money is on O'Sullivan.

I've watched as much as possible so far :) Can't wait to see the match at 6.45pm GMT tonight :p

Dean, it's 17.45 GMT IIRC, so 18.45 with DST on ;)

Well, i hope that you're right AWS, as O'Sullivan is my Favorite as well, but Hendry is very strong also. His 13 - 3 answer to O'Sullivans' was good ;)

But i still hope For O'Sullivan.

Btw. 5 - 3 Dott vs Stevens.

I like O'Sullivan best - he's up 2-1 atm :)

O'Sullivan leads 6 - 2. But i bet, Hendry will come back in the next session.

Hmm, are here no more than 3 people watching snooker? :(

It's not very big here in the states. Many don't even know what the 2 big tables with small pots are at our club. Straight pool, 8-ball and 9-ball is all that most players know over here.
That's why I love the game so much. I can make short work of "pool" players playing my game on my big table as well as theirs on those small tables with huge pots.

In germany it's quite the same.
I just know one club in my town, where we have one Snookertable.
But a lot of Pool tables and players....

Well, but it evolves currently.
At least when i talk to other Students, nearly everyone became addicted during this years tour ;)

Can't see a clear winner between Stevens and Dott... I still hope Stevens wins the semifinal :)

Hmm, i think Stevens will beat him in the end, but i don't think he would stand a chance in the finals, no difference who wins at the Hendry-Sullivan match

I loved last year's tour :) Too bad Williams went home earlier than expected... Stevens beat Paul Hunter - i never expected this to happen :(

Yeah, a lot of unexpected winnings appeared.
I thought it would became a Final Hunter - O'Sullivan, but nope...
Also Ebdon went home too early :(

Ebdon, Higgins, Lee... players that handled the games good last year imho :) Times change, players like Dott come and create problems for the best.

Yeah, but maybe it's just the World Championship.
You can see at the Players Champs, the old ones were on top....

I'm also quite the snooker follower..
In fact I'm thinking of going to see the final, live.. Living in Sheffield and all, it's a mere bus trip away from me.!

I think that the O'Sullivan vs. Hendry match should have been the final.. Whoever wins, I can see the final being a whitewash against Stevens or Dott - such is the standard being played.

Shame Hendry didn't get the 147 in the final frame of the match - though I had a gut feeling he wouldn't make it.. :(

Yeah, i had such a feeling myself....

Ok, not long until part two of the match O'Sullivan vs Hendry.
Any bets? ^^ I'd say this sessions result will be 5 - 3 for O'Sullivan, or better :)

Wow, O'Sullivan has gone 10-2 up.. I hope Hendry can turn things around and make a match of this like everyone wants. I'm also expecting O'Sullivan to make a 147 during this match at some point, especially now he's so far ahead - he can really concentrate on getting one and that extra ?147,000 prize..

So, who will win the next Semifinals?
Dott or Stevens?

Wow.. O'Sullivan is in amazing form - I really don't think he can be beaten in the final.

I reckon Dott will win the other semi-final, though Stevens is putting up a great fight.

Yeah i think Quite the same.
Ronnie can just beat himself, but noone else would have a chance if he keep up this form during the final.

Well it' 12 - 13, so everyone has his chance, but i think also Dott will win.

So, O'Sullivan did it.

It was a short evening, but i didn't expect a longer fight ;).
Unfortunately there were a few centuries missing in the final ;)

O'Sullivian was on top form. Amazing play. :)

Well I was disappointed when I came down at 9.30 and it had finished. I was expecting Dott to have put up more of a fight :(

I have no idea what you guys are on about other then it is like billards. I'll keep a look out for this snooker tho, sounds intresting.

I'm a avid pool player tho, attached is a pic of my table, not the most expensive thing in the world but it allows me to play everyday :)

Dott at least made it look like a match at the start going 5-0 up.. I didn't see anyone else do that against O'Sullivan all tournament, did you.? It could have been worse, they could have finished with a session to spare - no evening show at all!

O'Sullivan really does seem unstoppable at the moment, he's unlocked a whole new game within himself (though I wish he'd stop sticking his tongue out.!)

Ob gets you own and you game will get alot better, I was a total novice when I got mine, now i'm having a hard time finding people to play. I need to get out some more and hit some places up where there are better players then myself, need to learn some new tricks :)

I owe a lot of my game to two guys I spent the summer with two years ago, we got wasted everyday and shot pool most of the time, 9-ball was the only game we played and I was lucky if I got a second shot. :)

I try and play at my local snooker hall when possible..

On saturday, I played awful and won only 1 of my 4 frames.. Today I played pretty good, and won 2 of my 2 frames. I need to get some contact lenses sorted out though, I can't play while wearing my glasses for some reason, and really struggle with long pots.

Aww, well, regarding the money, i would be able to afford a snookertable (as you have to pay once, but would benefit a long time) but i really do not have the room for it ^^

Yea thats the only thing about it, finding a place to stick the thing ;). We moved and it was one of the first things we got, did'nt have room in the old single wide. ;)

Ahh, seems i have to convince my people to move into a bigger house as well, if they ask for the reason i'll explain that i'll need a Snookertable ^^
