Install button missing on threads in Add-On's
 

I think the subject says it all. :)


Someone must've overlooked the Add-On Releases forum (# 35) when hacking the install button for hacks in. :)

Add-Ons aren't considered hacks.. they are Add-Ons to hacks.. therefore they get no install button..

I believe that is the way it goes.. unsure..

13th_Disciple is right. They are considered add-ons for hacks and not actual hacks themselves.

Hmmm.... Maybe I should release my store actions somewhere else then. :)

Well, there will be a similar system to Add-ons in the future as well, but i have to work it out at first, and my time is very limited :(

By "somewhere else" I meant another area of vB.org! I would never release anywhere else! :D

Well if you install the Add-On, it's considered installing it...even though it's not a full hack.

yeah, but the problem is, that such Addons would be considered as full hacks, as the system is based on the same conditions.

As said, there are some plans to add something similar, but unfortunatelly, vb.org is not the only thing i have to speand my time, there is also the RL ;)

And the more important parts should be added before the not that important things.

Ok, i have rewritten the system now.

You can click install on Addonthreads as well now. (And edit version numer and such things)
Further things will follow with more time on my hands :).

well, with the actual way, it'S better to decide what kind of hack it is, so for Hotm or such can count other criterias than for showing up on the profile, or which hacks could be installed... ;)
