How do I get vB3 Skins?
 

It says "The Ultimate vBulletin Resource" don't resources include mods, skins, and other things like that?

I don't find any skins here.

vBulletin.org is for Hacking, and File Modifcations ;)

vBulletinTemplates.com is for template & styles modifcations.

True, but i dont see you donating 40 hours of work to make one ^^

However you can learn how to make styles there :)

i got 40 hours of spare time just not the inclination to make one.Id rather just color the one ive got and add a logo.Fancy gfx and all that may look nice but its how fast the speed of the board is that makes members come back.You never hear no one say `im going back to that site cause i just have to sit and admire the gfxs` :)

Plus i would`nt pay for a skin as the majority of them are just plain dire to be honest and any free ones that are out are just - color coded but same design.

If its free then its not worth having as the skin will be on every board going.
If u paying for it then prepare to get ripped off like the many people on here who have already.But there is a few exceptions to this rule as some will come though and help u while others will rip u off.

can one be anymore smug as if to say everyone who doesn't contribute isn't worth their weight in salt?

i haven't the time, working over 8 hours a day, a two hour drive TO and FROM work, being a single father of a three year old daughter, to deal with everything involved in the vB world, and there are a ton more just like me..

he made a comment that skins wouldn't be found there either.. try not to ride that jelsoft horse on high too often zach/faranth.. it's kinda getting old already.. not to mention, all of us aren't nineteen with hours a day to do nothing BUT work on vB sites, skins, styles, etc...

There is a general lack of contribution in general in the vBulletin community as of late, and I?ve done ALOT of work at vBT and here at vBulletin.org. My life is IT related I?m trained in Web Design, Networking, Systems Admin, Network admin.

I?m not trying to act smug, I?m sorry if I come off that way, however it does take a lot of work to complete a style. Its true you wont find any skins there, however there is not many people who have 40 hours to spare just like your self to make that kind of selfless donation to the community and it saddens me. Not to mention that 40 hours of work is worth a lot, if that person were to sell this custom style, either as a one time or mass sold skin, it could bring that person anywhere from 1200 ? 3500 us, which I think is a lot of money for anyone.

I still donate my time to these communities, I am about the only person actively donating to the vBulletinTemplates

Personally I don't visit vBT anymore; its lack of updates probably describes best what you mean by "general lack of contribution in general in the vBulletin community", Zachery.

Were up to date with vB3.0.1 and we have been staying current on updates, it takes more than one person to make a community work

i am also in the IT industry.. i am a systems admin for a small aircraft manufacturer.. maybe you've heard of em.. Boeing..

that means nothing in the grand scheme.. has no direct influence on what i do or don't do around here.. it is a metality perception on the part of users to the way they are treated and whether or not respect is offered or even extended to new users.. and generally, it is not.. and that is deplorable..

but it's not for me to say.. after all, i haven't contributed enough to have a say.. oh.. except for that 160 dollars i initially paid for vbulletin, and the 30 i just paid for access renewal to members area.. i think that is contribution enough for right now.. so almost 200 dollars and i have yet to ask for support.. yeah, i'd say i have contributed..
