[ANSWERED] vb.org front page ..
Is it me .. am I going mad? .. because for the life of me I can't find a direct link to the forums from the main/front page of vb.org ..
Yep .. lovely portal page .. great listings of latest/best/hottest hacks and I can even make all the forums read .. it would be nice to be able to get to the forums before I do that though ... ;) Just thought I'd point it out .. it's very frustrating .. :) |

Click on the Forum Tab in Dark Blue Click on the Header Image in Purple click on the link "forums" in either green Again click on the header image in Grey |
Well .. I use the Grey style .. and while I can click on header image .. I've got to admit I didn't suss that ;) (I'm used to that going to the front page, which I took as being as the portal) .. Doh!
Ta for clearing that up :) |
[high]* Slave goes "wibble!"
[/high] :D |
ok, now how to get back to the main page from within the forum?
|
by clicking on Home? :)
|
home brings u to the forum home page, not the real home page.
|
hmm, when i click on home, i get to the portal.
there is no other home page. |
Same for me, in all styles it goes to portal.php?
|
On Stylish Green and Dark Blue; Home = portal.php & Forums = forums/index.php
The title banner in Purple goes to forums/index.php |
On the vB3 Grey style, there is no "Home" or "Portal" button/link on the navbar - In the bottom navigation bar, there is only a link to the vBulletin.org site...
Satan |
i'm so confused
|
It's a serious lesson in usability that needs to be learned. ;)
|
Btw which portal mod is used on vbulletin.org, I tried to search the forums but I get tons of false positives.
Thanks |
That's because it's not a portal. It's a custom coded page, much like 90% of vb.org is custom coded

Do you mind sharing the source? |
Sure, just keep watching vbulletin.org for the next 24 hours. Someone will ask the same question ;). But in all seriousness, I can't remember where I saw it, but it's in one of the millions of threads on here or it may have been deleted.
You COULD try this if you want a portal for your site www.vbadvanced.com |
Sorry, the portal code is not going to be released. Check out the link posted above.
