Update all templates?

Ok, I know VB3 already has this feature implemented into it, but because I was stupid and didn't realize this until AFTER I did all my templates and junk.

But is there a way someone can just make a hack that will update all the templates at once to the same thing? I think it would be really simple, but I don't have the type of knowledge to be able to do something like that.

Thanks!

P.S. Does anyone know how to delete custom templates?

1. if you want to revert all templates theres a link to do that in the drop own of the style manager

2. click on revert, it will delete any custom templates.

Yes, but this isn't what I am trying to achieve... because of special template customations. I dunno. It is really hard to explain.

How about deleting templates?

No, I mean delete delete. So they are gone completely. Because I have some templates from a portal I no longer use and I want to get rid of them.

THIS WILL REMOVE THEM FROM THE DATABASE

IT DELETES THEM BY "REVERTING THEM" have you TRIED?

I found this post in searching for the same (or similar answer.) Is there a way to delete ONLY the custom templates? I want to keep my modified templates (as they're only modified) and certainly don't want to revert every single one, just get rid of the custom jobs....

Is there a way to do this other than click revert on every single added template?

I think i'll quote Zachery here as he/she (not sure) seems to have said it more than enough.

Just find all your custom templates, highlight them, and click revert. It's a manual job yes if you don't desire to revert all your templates.

well, I'd like to be able to do that, however I'm unable to highlight more than one template. I can neither ctrl or shift click on a range or even more than one template. In fact, when I click on 'custom templates, my options for reverting are greyed out.

am I not using the right browser? I'm at 3.0.7 - something not enabled on my end?

play nice, ok? maybe you've answered this question too many times, but I've only asked it once....

Just click on any single template that shows up in red (modified) and click revert.
You can only revert 1 at a time, or revert all in a style.

bi11i 02-26-2005 04:55 PM

so then there is no way to delete only the custom templates (sql query, use of another browser, etc?)

damn - i thought it was hard hacking my board, it looks like going legit has it's hurdles as well.....

thanks, all...

I created that to Mass Revert "Custom" templates, to save all that manual work :)
