Quick Quote?
Sorry if I missed it or something but is there a quick quote hack that can be used with quick reply? Or is this built into VB3 now? If so where is it because I can't find it!
|
I already requested this one, and since this thread is nearer to the top, i'll again request one lol. Would be very useful.
|
Ahh so it isn't just me then! Well I don't feel so bad!
|
I'd like this too

VB3 has a quick quote feature but it doesn't allow you to quote multiple posts.
This one works the same way as my old quickquote hack for VB2. I haven't really tested it much but it seems to work fine on my test forum. To use it "Require Click for Quick Reply" must be set to no. Also, does not work when WYSIWYG quick reply toolbar is enabled. You can turn it on and off in the admincp under vboptions. |
works great man, now u have to go release it out to the public, it's a must-have hack!
|
but needs to work with wysiwyg please:)

Evil, I know this is exactly what you wanted to avoid, and I'll understand if you don't want to help me with this, but after successfully installing this hack, I've noticed the pound sign has moved over to the margin, instead of next to the reply number. See pic for details.
What did I do wrong? |

If you'll post the contents of your postbit_legacy template I'll take a look at it and see if I can figure it out. |
HTML Code:
<!-- post #$post[postid] --> |
What browser are you using? I just visited your site with IE 6.0, mozilla, and opera and it looks fine to me. I also added the html from your template to my test forum and the # is in the right place.
You could always try moving the $quickquote varible somewhere else. |
I'm using Safari, a Mac browser based on Mozilla.
|
It doesn't bother me enough to move it. I just didn't realize I was the only one seeing it that way. It will fine just the way it is. Thanks again for your help!
:) |
Yeah thats definitely browser related then. And y/w. :)
|
i think i'll wait for the public release..just in case i need some sort of question answered ya know.
|
I still think u should release it because it works fine and is very basic; doesn't seem like it could have many bugs.
|
I might post it later on if I can figure out why it doesn't work with wysiwyg enabled.
|
I have a quick question I installed your hack and it works great but I had a minor issue. One of my users has this strange sequence of characters for his username ¬|¬°/|¬|¬°¬|¬ for some reason admins/moderators could not view any threads he had posted in with the hack installed, the threads would come up as a blank page. I changed his name for now but any clue why this would be happening?
|
can this be use for vb 3.5.3?
