vB3 Arcade - Allow Users to Change Game Size
 

This mini-hack is so simple, but (IMO) is a must have for anyone who uses John's vB3 Arcade. This will add an option to allow users to change the default size for the games.

File Modifications: 1 file, 2 changes.
Template Modifications: 1 template, 2 changes.

I agree. :) I posted about the feature in one of John's threads a little while ago, but I guess the feature never made it.
I would have made this months ago if I had realized that John had already set up a column for the width & height of games. I assumed it was set up similar to Futureal's and was planning on making a script that would create the width & height columns and then pull the width & height from the game code to update everything. I finally decided to do this for a friend the other day (I don't even have John's arcade installed since I'm still running Beta 7) and was pleasantly surprised when I saw how easy it was going to be. :)

This sure makes it nice for us old guys to not have to wear the reading glasses while playing now. LOL

Is it just me or is there no install button here O.o

does this save the entries ona per user basis?

it would be very nice if this would remember each users selection
for each game ....

when you come back it would use the last setting used for that game
by that user.

is this possible ?

That's definitely possible. The easiest way would be to do it with cookies... The settings will be lost when a user logs out, but otherwise it would most likely require modifying the user table to add a field for their settings. I'll add the cookie setting as soon as I get a chance though. :)

I've found that the popup menu generated is about 50% the width of the screen (in Mozilla Firefox) - does anyone else have the same experience ?
