vB3 to vB2? Is this only a dream?

And I wish I to switch back to vB2. Last I heard, there was no way to do this, but is it being worked on by anyone? Since my upgrade, my site has run into more problems than it should, and I generally not in the mood to learn vB all over again.

Regardless, is it being worked on, or will I remain held in the vB3 world forever?

No one agrees?

Restore the backup that you were told to create before the upgrade. Here's also a small tip - test upgrades on a test board, and learn before you upgrade your live board. Then you'll know your way around beforehand.

That backup wouldn't mean much, as the upgrade would set my board back several months. I also found it difficult to judge its interface and find all of it's problems on a test board. Nonetheless, I pray someone makes it possible to transfer back.

Short of someone designing a vBulletin 3.0.0 to vBulletin 2.3.x Importer, this is not possible.

I would think trying to get your current forum working as it should be would be more interesting than than a rollback to old code.
Maybe you should post what your problems are and get some help to fix them?

Considering how vB3 stores the password info it would be almost impossible to go backwords.

Anythings possible but you'd have to make compromises. I seriously doubt that anyone would make this as it is redundant for 99% of people. In the long-run vB3 is better - if you stick with it for a while you'll succumb to its power ;)

One board I know did this but what they did was convert from vb3 to iPB and then from iPB to vBulletin2.

Convert from Vb 3.0 to Ipb 1.3
and from ipb 1.3 to Vb 2.x again..

But. i am sure. YOU WILL HAVE TO WORK A LOT ON THIS.. :)

Sandy...

SaN-DeeP is right, is the only way to do it.
Use Invision 2 to import the threads, then import them to VB2.

seems a lot of trouble dont it considering in the end we all gonna upgrade to vb3 regardless if we like it or not as newer hacks (well the best ones) will be for the new board and not for the old.
