what's the best hack you've ever seen on vb.org and what makes it so great in your opinion?

This is a tough one - probably Logician's template conditionals as it saved me so many file edits and also it paved the way for the idea of vB3 template conditionals :) Revolutionary ... :p

Well on vb2 i tend to choose Sinan's template conditional hack as well, this one or Tecks Microstats.

On vb3 my Favourite is mentioned in my profile.
And it's not because that hack is by me, just because of the fact that it's the only hack i use daily :)

For vBulletin 2 would be the chatbox, it enables the admin to have a chat room right on the forums.

For vBulletin 3 would be the arcade, it is fun to play with. :p

But nothing surpasses that of Lesane's Store Hack, simply amazing.

i'm stuck between the store and the journals :(

The store was fun i have to say, especialy when the bank robber adon came :) and pick pocket...lol That used to crack me up.

For vB3 hhmm theres only afew out so far but the Arcade will be hard to beat.

yep, vb3 Arcade with many games now ( sure there'll be more ^^) is the best.
from vb2, hmm....haven't used much hacks of vb2, I choose store hack

vB 2 : vBHome (lite) best portal I have seen
vB 3 : None yet, and I still need a good portal :p

I think the Quiz hack because it was something my community enjoyed and gave me a way to provide more content on my site.

The template conditional hack by Logician. A godsend for vb2. Nothing amazing for vb3 yet, but the Vbhosting one is pretty impressive

i'd have to say the coffee shop hack for the admincp

uShop & uStore once it comes pout and vBadvanced for a portal :D

The store hack as it revolutionized the way we ran our forums but I have to give an honorable mention to the original karma hack for another board as it was what inspired us to create the points hack which of course was the first step in creating our store hack. =)

Second favorite hack -- miserable users. What a great add on for dealing with trolls!!!

Double post prevention hack brings a great amount of ease to our moderators. :up:

The only other hacks I have installed on my forum are those additions of mine.

well on vb2 there is loads - as karma on there was a well neat hack (yes it was a hack)
and there was the vb2 arcade - plus many other hacks so its unfair as vb2 had loads going for it

for vb3 the only one i reckon is the arcade at the moment at its the only one in my view that has broken the mould for the new format.

vB2 : Hard to say.. vBindex, Template Conditionals, Shoutbox, Quick Reply, /me code and Xenon's edit levels/new features thing all come to mind...

vB3 : Without a doubt, vBindex 3 ;)
