vB Links Directory v3.0 BETA

*WARNING*
The development of thsi hackw as stopped loong ago. This is the v3 version for v2.x of vbulletin. I am going to finish up development and release. This is not meant to be used on any public websites.

At this moment of time I don't want to go into any major discussion about this hack, please be sure that til I get a license I can't guarantee anything, this is the hack from previous status.

--------------------------------
I would encourage everyone to submit modifications etc, that is why I put it in beta, sort of make it a OpenSource Development community within this thread :)

The hack has promised features, but I believe comments were taken off.

Current Version: vBLinksDirectory v3.0 Beta 1

DrkFusion 03-16-2004 11:03 PM

Updates
03.16.2004 - Beta 1 is released, please note that this version has quite a few bugs, and installer is not guaranteed to work. The reason I released this is to get a user interest and continue development. This was the LAST public release to beta-testers. Developement will continue Wednesday 17th.

sabret00the 03-16-2004 11:52 PM

wow the project was revived :)

DrkFusion 03-17-2004 12:11 AM

Yea....it was a great idea, there are enough that will be coming out, but this will also come.

Koutaru 03-17-2004 02:39 AM

I can't believe it! .. :P but I'm not using 2.3 anymore
I'll have a look at it nonetheless

gmarik 03-17-2004 03:12 AM

Is the beta for vb3?

Velocd 03-17-2004 03:45 AM

The title of the hack is vB Links Directory v3.0 BETA.

Make your conclusions.

DrkFusion 03-17-2004 04:18 AM

[vB 2.3.x] - vB Links Directory v3.0 BETA
The version 3 of the script, which is in beta for v2.x.
The vb3 version is currently being coded.

great to see, even though I'm using vb3 now, I'm going to install this on my test system with vb2 to have a look :P let me know if you need any vb3 version testing when ready. Glad to hear your working on vb3 version :)

DrkFusion 03-17-2004 12:33 PM

I just want to get a stable version for vb2 out before i move on to vb3. vB3 has opened up so many possibilities for this system its like I am ina candy store :p

sabret00the 03-17-2004 01:02 PM

their doesn't seem to be any upgrader from previous version

Hi Sabret00th thanks for that. I am currently writing a new INSTALLER for the vb2 version. I have been just purely developing.

sabret00the 03-17-2004 01:23 PM

thanks i'll look forward to upgrading as none of the previous versions work for me and it will be good to have it finally work :)

can someone post a demo to it when they get a chance?

I totally agree :P I was a bit shy on upgrading my sites to vb3 from vb2, but after getting used to how the scripting system works in it, vb2 is a distant fond memory, just can't wait for hacks to catch up, and I'll be updating my hacks once I get my paws on vb3 gold :P

I would install it, but I'm on vB3 now... I lost the private beta copy you sent me like a year (abd 5 days) ago. :(

cindyd 04-22-2004 04:38 PM

I am using version 2.3 and have the original hack installed that has some problems, so I have really been looking for the upgraded version.

DrkFusion, are you still using this name on the other sites?

I won't be upgrading in the near future due to an expensive hack I just had made.

I am still using the links directory as it is, but I have to workaround quite a few things, like adding the links.

I appreciate the fact that you are still working on this.
