Soccer Prediction League Mod ?
 

Hi guys.

Currently i run a soccer boards, and was wondering if there was such a mod whereby a

user can signup
get credits (gold) by posting
place bets at the betting shop

Admin starts matches, and defines the pay-out rate for each of these matches through a control panel.

Admin updates winning results and script does the calculation of how much gold the person won/lost and automatically changes that persons gold count.

Hopefully the script can integrate with some other shop script, whereby the user can buy items from another shop with the gold.

nope that's not a league, that's just a betting modification and not a league. I'm looking for a league where you get something like 3 points for a correct score, and 1 point for a correct result (win lose draw). Then the points are added up then you go into a league with other people who have played

Let me third that, I think thats a really nice addition :)

I use such a hack for the German Fu?ball Bundesliga, but users can only select Lose, Win, Draw and get I point for a correct bet.
Matches, Clubs, etc. can be defined through ModCP.
But the code is crap (:D), and pretty much tight to my board ...

www.predictionleague.com is what you need. The only problem is that it is stand alone. There have been requests for vB patching. But apparently nobody is able to make the two compatible ;)

I have seen a great soccer prediction league in a pretty big vB soccer forum with everything, correct score, correct goals, correct red cards, goal difference, which player scores etc etc. Or you can set it up to be simple as win - draw - lose

I asked them... the primary guy that wrote the software was willing to give it to me but many people worked on it in testing it and so forth, it wasn't only one guy. So only the main admin had to aprove it and the main admin was not favorable in sharing it...

There is no license created for it or anything.. I think they just want to keep it for themselves for now I guess.

I've got two versions, one for National league in my country and one for international. That one is pretty much vb integrated. I only have some kind of prediction league to add, and i will use the prediction football as a base.

Yes, ccleague pro is the main base. I mainly use their CP and am more and more unusing the main script as I make the main call from my own scripts, based on vb. The main function for ccleague is the tournaments brackets.

Then I incorporated calendar to present teams logo in vba cmps main page events, vbookie, a hacked named vbhosting to create the teams news section, vbadvanced gallery hacked, vblinks hacked, plus I did my own.

Teams with profiles, news from own teams forums and country info (from encarta)
Groups and Standings
Schedules and members predictions.

I would not mind sharing, but this is not phrased, no table prefixes, not documented, database was altered and additional required.

If some big shot here wants to go to the trouble of sorting things out for public usage, then no problems.


I just finished, with Marco's help, a section allowing members to predict outcome with a prediction cutoff time based on the event's timezone. That one is really nice and has a hall of fame. Members gets points for right scoring, scorer, minutes etc. I am implementing yellow and red cards, then I guess that would be the basis for a full fantasy soccer.

I have 2 versions on the site. One for national leagues, which is more of ccleague and the international tournaments which is more of vb than ccleague.

In both cases, vb permissions system is there.

Thanks, I am really proud of the predictions part. It's open to all as a teaser but only members submissions are accepted. Some of them (like Haiti) have the players in place. That's where Marco's help was tremendous. Without him there would have not be players, minutes scored and soon yellow and red cards.

I am planning to assign points like that

Exact score: 3 points
Picking the right winner: 1 point
Picking a draw but not the exact score: 1 point
Picking correct goal scorer and minute: 2 point
Picking correct goal scorer only: 1 point
Picking correct minute only: 1 or 0.5 point
plus for yellows and reds

Lionel, I am genuinly impressed. I have been looking for something exactly like this for my site. I am currently using Prediction Football, which does the trick but something integrated with the messageboard would be the ultimate..

someone managed to integrate the prediction football script in my vbulletin forum .. users can login using their vbulletin username and password .. now i just need to redesign the whole site so that it matches ..
