VB Trader LITE Disscussion
 

After 8+ months of workin my butt of coding this amazing application the full version is now being added to several busy forums for further beta testing :)

I am very seriously thinking about releasing a lite version of the VB Trader.

This version will:

1) be FREE and not time limited in any way without any obligation to upgrade to the full version.

2) only support business directories, hence auctions or classifieds listings will not be available.

3) not include "Buy Now"/"Pay Me Now" buttons.

4) not include paypal intergration.

5) be released in accordance to my hack licence


ALL OTHER FEATURES WILL REMAIN FULLY FUNCTIONAL.

What are your thoughts?

2) It is good enought for a lite version, if there cost to upgrade to the full version is reasonable. Nothing is free and I totally support the option to get paid to use it.

Btw, is there a feedback system like Ebay? How about jukebox hack? cuz I'm willing to pay for that too.

Yep i have coded a feedback/rating system for the trader, i think its much better than the one on ebay;)

Sorry nam I got sidetracked with the hack monitoring system for evb and didnt get to do anything with the jukebox ... soon!

Yep I have been working on the vb trader now for over 8 months

I wont be able to do muck today as i have to announce at my daughters school swimming sports :)

Due to vborg policy the vB Trader can not be released here. .txt instalation docs are not possible at the moment Kura's HTL is required to install the VB Trader. Download NOW for FREE from everythingvb.com

is the lite version BETA ? or all safe to install?

also how easy is an uninstall process ?

its is only a matter of dropping the vbt_ db tables and the 6 new columns from the user table .... reverting 1 template and deleting the files :)

spot on, well im guna do the long upgrade to rc4 reinstall my hacks, get the HTL installed then its VB TRADER time

It is BETA atm ... once the serch function is completed it will go to RC1

The raw code still need some cleaning up however i have been running it on my LIVE site during development over the last 8 months and i havnt had any security issues.

Current vborg rules state that all hacks released here MUST include .txt instalation docs.

However due to the sheer size of the hack, .txt docs are not possible.

The vB Trader adds:

10 new db tables with 6 columns added to the user tbl
1 new phrase group with over 300 new phrases
53 new templates

I have been discussing the possibility of releasing the VB Trader here with onky the HTL file. claming extenuating circunstances .. well at least until the next version of the HTL when further instructions could be added.

At this stage the VB Trader will not be released here for some time yet :(

I will keep you up to date when and if i know different

The jukebox is also now available as well :)

any updates on this program? the site where the demo is will not let you even register to look inside...looks like a nice program and i am very interested in it...full version

you can register now for more bug finders. I have had some new clients to deal with but i will be back on the job soon :)
