vb3 User Rating Hack v1.0
 

I think the title is pretty self-explanatory, but I've created a ratings system for users to rate each other.

Things to do...
Files To Upload ( 1 )
-- rate.php
Template Modifications ( 1 )
-- MEMBERINFO template ( 1 )
File Modifications ( 1 )
-- member.php ( 1 )
Phrases To Add ( 6 )

Below are screenshots.

multirate.gif shows a user with multiple ratings and the who rated option.
norating.gif shows the default profile view with no ratings
whorated.gif shows a user with multiple ratigns and the who rated option enabled.
yourrate.gif shows your vote on a user.

Hack comes vbphrased and a user can change their vote on a user at anytime.
Tested on vb3 RC 3

when I click on button GO to evaluate, I obtains a white page, an idea of the problem?

Its a nice hack, I especially used this one in VB2 ,but I won't be installing this for vB3, I really don't see any point to have this one. Especially since reputation system is on vB3, but nonethless its a nice hack.

i agree that~but in this hack i think in postbit will be easy use than in user profile page:p

Nice hack, i am looking for something similar to this but that will show on postbit and with images instead of numbers (ex. starts) like you find on most ubb boards. Good work non the less.

10 is too big - could you make it 5 point rating and with a 5 point star under every user avatar in postbit?

And if user did rating person show to him small bar instead of drop-down menu (same as with thread rating ;)) under avatar wich shows user rate.

Running vB 3.0.3 and this is what I am getting when I look at a member profile...

Isn't the reputation feature that comes with 3.0.3 pretty much the same concept?

I had this in 3.0.1, but it doesn't show up in 3.0.3

Anyone giving support?

Is there a way that when someone hits the Go button, it emails the rating to the moderator of that forum and then they have the final decision?

i coupld users and me are having this issue, could somone please support this hack!

After installation we can't find the hack on the board anywhere, it does not show up, you cant rate, see ratings...........nada!

I installed it correctly, i go to user profile page and there is nothing, i tried everythingi could to fix it ad it do not work!

i just wanted to let the other users that have the issue as me to know that, this plugin does not support firefox, if your using it.

I cannot see the plugin with FF but i can with IE

anyone have an idea about maybe making a Top 10 User list? So by using what the ranks are that people get, compile a list of the Top 10 Averages -- any ideas?

I had the same problem -- if you take out the "--" and put in "-" in the HTML comment for the name of the hack and the copyright information in the memberinfo template, it'll work
