Alternating Row colors in Postbit
 

Yes i know this has been asked many times before but as i searched vbulletin .com/org all i could find were modfications for vb2 or for forum display or showthread, none for vb3 postbit.

In order to show alternating row colors in postbit i know i have to replace the alt1 and alt2 class with a conditional but dont know what it is, i imagine its something like this

Any help would be appreciated thnx.

That was my first stop, they said it prob couldnt be done without hacking hence why i came here.

Alternating rows instead of columns for postbit, first post alt1 second post alt2 third alt1 fourth post alt2 so on and so on.

And I'm still searching, looking everywhere for the exact same thing, with no luck. :(

Place the following in the TD tag for the post. Depending upon what your postbits template looks like you may need to place it in several table cells.

In my template it looks likethis for the first table cell

I also had to add the conditional to 3 other table cells in my highly customized postbits template.

If you want to post your posbits template or indicate which default template you're using I can show you specifically where to add the conditional.

Thanks so much! :D That's exactly what I've been looking for, and it works great!

I may suggest, to other people using it - change the 'alt1' and 'alt2' to 'alt4' and 'alt5', then use CSS to define the background colors. That way, the postbit alternate colors can work independant of the forumhome, etc.
