Alternating Row colors in Postbit
Yes i know this has been asked many times before but as i searched vbulletin .com/org all i could find were modfications for vb2 or for forum display or showthread, none for vb3 postbit.
In order to show alternating row colors in postbit i know i have to replace the alt1 and alt2 class with a conditional but dont know what it is, i imagine its something like this PHP Code:
|
OMG someone please give me the conditional, ive been searching everywhere and cant find anything up to date for postbit :disappointed:
|
Dude, first off chill out and secondly use the search feature. If you had spent the time using the search you would have found this -> https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...hlight=bgclass
|
This is also for forum home and show thread not postbit :disappointed:
|
try vBT
|
That was my first stop, they said it prob couldnt be done without hacking hence why i came here.
|
omg i cant believe that no one can help me with this, ive gone to every vb related site and havnt found anything
|
Can you post an image or an URL where we can see how it should look like?
As I don't seem to understand what you want to achieve ... |
<a href="http://www.warpstorm.com/showthread.php?threadid=4987" target="_blank">http://www.warpstorm.com/showthread.php?threadid=4987</a>
Alternating rows instead of columns for postbit, first post alt1 second post alt2 third alt1 fourth post alt2 so on and so on. |
how did you do it in the end?
|
hehe i didnt still waiting for someone to help me out with this :ermm:
|
And I'm still searching, looking everywhere for the exact same thing, with no luck. :(

Place the following in the TD tag for the post. Depending upon what your postbits template looks like you may need to place it in several table cells.
HTML Code:
<if condition="$post['postcount'] % 2 == 0">class="alt2"<else />class="alt1"</if> In my template it looks likethis for the first table cell HTML Code:
<td <if condition="$post['postcount'] % 2 == 0">class="alt2"<else />class="alt1"</if> style="padding:$stylevar[cellpadding]" width="120" nowrap="nowrap" rowspan="2" $scrolltothis> If you want to post your posbits template or indicate which default template you're using I can show you specifically where to add the conditional. |
Thanks so much! :D That's exactly what I've been looking for, and it works great!
I may suggest, to other people using it - change the 'alt1' and 'alt2' to 'alt4' and 'alt5', then use CSS to define the background colors. That way, the postbit alternate colors can work independant of the forumhome, etc. Thanks again! :) |
