VB3 RC4 Now out
 

You can all get it in members area now

I think im going to skip this release and wait for gold, but I will have to download it for my colection ;)

I just knew they'd wait until I succumbed and hacked my board and THEN release rc4 LOL

I've only added one line to index.php but I think I'm gonna wait as well.

hmmm, Me too will have to wait for the gold, I cant easily upgrade my board now, cuz I will have to manually change the templates that have to be revert T_T, I've made lot of change for my board, grrrrr
final release, final images, finals headache....

I just upgraded, and am now in the process of comparing the modded templates with my changed ones ...

vB is not the only reason you could want to have Beytond Compare, but it is a big reason :) :)

Well I've installed rc4, after hacking rc3 up a little bit, and now
have rehacked rc4 with all the hacks I had, and added 3 more to it.

It's running very smooth so far.
The vB team, and all the people who's hacks I've install have just
done a great job.

I am running RC2 and have converted a skin from vb2 that I padi $40 for - I dont wanna go thru the headache of coding it again and re-hacking my board :p

Thats why we have users still using 2.2.6 :)

but I can't sit down and see people talking about vb3, so I decided not to leave vb2, so far it's my very right decision ^ ^

All re-hacked and running smoothly :)

I'm going to be waiting for Gold also and stick with RC2.

I'm waiting for Gold now. I just don't have the time to re-hack and upgrade.

And my host is acting up saying I have not enough disk space when I actually have more than enough. =/

I think I will upgrade every other RC. I'm staying with RC3 for now...

Any suspected date when gold is going to be released on?

i'm thinking wait for gold now all these release candidates is just too much to handle
rc2 is working fine for now

my only gripe is with the templates i have to keep reverting then changing all over again :(

Not really - unless you are making changes to the templates in your MASTER STYLE, you can run all the upgrade scripts, then it has the handy "Show updated templates" functions so you can see where your modified templates do not match the latest versions - then copy and paste your template and the original (newer) tempalte into Beyond Compare (or similar s/ware) and you can upgrade your hacks like a dream :)

Beyond Compare - upgrading a hacked vB is easy as with this :)

I've never seen so many rc's in my life. I'll wait til they get their stuff straight. I've hacked 2 rc's already, and to say the least, it's getting pretty old. I venture to say after rc. 212, they might get it right.

Give the devs a break. :) The reason why we have RC's is because they work hard and fix bugs. The nature of software programming especially for large pieces of code is that some bugs are easily missed unless there are thousands of people using it. :)
