RC3 Out Now In Stores Near You!

;)

RC3 is now out which fixes a lot of bugs and errors in RC2. News on it can be found here; http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16475

So, who's upgrading? :p

Same here, I'm sticking with Gamma untill either vB3 final or a major bug is found in Gamma that gives me reason to upgrade.

What's wrong with upgrading? o_O

NTLDR 01-21-2004 10:13 PM

The approximately 50 hacks which I have written and installed on my main board ;) And seeing as none of the Bugs really effect me I'm putting it off for now to save going through it all again in a few weeks. I may do my smaller board if I get the time.

Maybe because it is not my license (Even though i just sent an email to buy it from him) He lets me use it. (Yes it is legal, i am the sole user)

@MadCat: Yes, you would have to re apply them.

MaDCaT75 01-22-2004 04:30 AM

That bites.

You can always use something that compares the code, as in Beyond Compare..

nirmah 01-22-2004 06:08 AM

What's really the benefit of vB 3 over vB 2? To me, vB 3's design first of all isn't nice and pleasing like vB2...

Maybe do a search for once?

Or AxrisMerge is good.

With the peeps at vBulletin launching a beta or RC every other month, to keep up with their launches by going through the process of finding a new style (skin), 10-20 comparable hacks to the ones I already have installed, all the while making sure they are compatible to the latest and greatest RC will drive you crazy.

I expect a final gold version to break on out in about a year or so after RC100's release.

Chris M 01-22-2004 09:28 PM

I would personally rather they release loads of RC bodges and get a working 99% fixed Gold version, than rush out a Gold version, and then have to fix all the bodges they missed while people are impatient and want the final release...

Just my ?0.02 ;):p

Satan

Sooner95 01-26-2004 12:17 PM

well, she is at RC3, so really cant imagine to many more RC releases then. Whenever is fine with me, I agree with the others, rather them RC it to death untill its done, that patch it after its went Gold

RC3 seems so incredibly stable that as far as I'm concerned, they can just release the next version as Gold. I really doubt that there will be any more real bugs after the last few bugfixes have been taken care of...

Sooner95 01-27-2004 01:30 PM

sure hope your right, and yea so far as I can tell, she seems really stable as well...

we shall see...

I'm expecting it before the end of February, but each to his own, I guess.
