I didn?t modified my vB 3.0 yet because I wait for the final release

But I realy would like some comments

We put over half a year of work into this project and it?s still a long way to go till it?s finished!

Your bandwidth is going to through the roof if you start hosting mp3's...

Hmm you should install catagory spacing for vB3 from over at www.vbulletintemplates.com by Faranth, makes it look better. Also i have been on many many many rap boards, and people like originality. If you dont have that, they wont go on there (Us emcees are picky :) ) You need to get a proper rap banner made for the top of the forum and move the sponser too the bottom. Then try making the whole board look more Rap'ified :) Use some more Slang maybe on the board and try getting some rap like icons, For instance, microphone images for your post/new post icons :)

Thx for your suggestions but the Forum is more or less a support forum and only a few forums are for community (at least for now! who knows how fast my community grows ;))

The spacing hack I tried but it?s for gamma and I didn?t get the categories aligned. Do you have a working hack (link to the hack) ?

The Sponsor Banner has to be on top (it?s condition. he?s paying the license :D)

I wrote my designer asking him for graphics like a banner for our forum so it don?t look like our sponsord board. But we are online only for 3 days so we give it some time ;)

We are also no actual rap forum the main project is the Battle system.
We will build an MC, Writer and DJ Arena after we finalised the System for beatboxers.

About the MP3 up/download!
I know that this is going to be our biggest problem in the future.
But for now we have more then enough bandwidth (75gig).
But for this reason we limited the filesize, quality and length of the allowed mp3 so that a file is max. 413kb
I think you need quite alot of up and downloads to fully use our bandwidth!
If we reach the limit we already have a very big community and I think then I already have found a sponsor for a dedicated server with enough bandwidth

It is for GAMMA but it worked fine on RC2 for me

That´s the one I tried but I didn´t got it all align

Did you changed anything?
The first hack doesn´t have any align features and the other hack for this (align) released doesn´t work on my vBB because many things changed from gamma to RC2 and I don´t know the code good enough to adapt the changes

Did you modified your hack?
If you got it aligned can you PM me your modified version?

I simply downloaded it and did as it said ;) Works perfect for me, maybe you could post a screenshot to show what you mean? Also Faranths on the prowl so im sure he will be in this thread soon and help you :)

I have the same problem!
I downloaded the first file and after implementation it looked like this!

The fix posted a little later in the thread doesn´t work cause to many things have changed

If anyone got it to work then plz PM me how to do it plz

I finaly got the Spacing hack to work!!

YES

I also added the today online hack, and the separate sticky threads modification.

Anymore tips or comments on my project or my forum?

I think i gave you about 50 on my first post :) lol

the layout is cool for the main site, kinda unique and fits with the hip hop theme.

The forums look cool, slightly plain, but good work

The original idea was to implement the forum into the site (we will do this on user basis in the future) but we only have 720px for the forum width and if users post larg images then you have to scroll in an Iframe where you first have to scroll down alot.

Or is there a possibility to define the maximum allowed image size of a picture posted in [ img] and if it is bigger then the max size it will be shrinked to the size or maybe just converted to a link?

That would help me alot

Ok here?s a little statistic:

We are open for the public for axactly 27 days:

We had 325 registrations so far
with 204 Members who activated there account.

The avarage registration count is 3-10 per day.

We have about 85 Battles running and
users downloaded about 4,68gig battlefiles.

There were over 1500 votes made so far

We have around 200 unique visits a day avarage with
476974 total hits (including reloads, page changes ect)

And we are just open for 27 days

Over one year has past. HipHop-Battles.com launched its MC/Rap Arena and we now have more then 4100 Member on our Project.

I realy would like to get some new comments on the project now after 1 year of success ;)
