Mods edit access masks including child forums (as exists for vB2.x)

I would highly appreciate if one could transform the existing Mods edit access masks including child forums hack (made by Scott McVicar) for vB2.x into vB3.

Since our Board contains a lot of (private) Clan Forums where the Moderators are the ones to gain access to the forums we would really need a solution like this before we can upgrade to vB3.

I already sent a PN to Scott but didn't receive an answer yet...

I need also a solution to give the moderators the chance to add X sub-forums within their forum where X should be a value set for each mod from the admin.

As said above I am also running a clanboard where the mods control their category on their own.

It can be acomplished by public usergroups with usergroup leaders in about the same way :)

I posted a similar request (duplicate sorry) about allowing moderators limited access to the forum manager to manage (edit/add child forums etc) for the forums they are moderators of. Not every other forum, is this possible without any hacks?

If so, could you point me in the right direction?

Kinda new to vb3, so bear with me :)

I want to bring up this request again. Has anyone already a solution for this?

The guys from www.clanforen.de implemented this very well but it took them many many hours and they won't share this development with us.
I can really understand them but maybe another one here has a solution.

Bump. User groups will not help me because my moderators use this hack to ban people from public forums.

This seems to be what I'm looking for too. A hack that lets moderators of a category edit access masks, add/remove forums only in the category they mod under (must be able to turn this on and off on a per mod basis) would make my life Soooooo much easier.

Bump!

The main stopping block on this hack being converted is the revisions in the source. I have completed this hack up to the point of the moderator control panel but have run into some complications and time constraints so If someone wanted to take a stab I can diff all my files based on the vbull version and they can take a stab as well..
