Google aDsense

Just wondering exactly where you put the code on your boards? Wheres best so that aDsense shows adds relative to your forum ?

Thanks :)

TheAnt 01-04-2004 02:40 AM

I'm putting it in the sidebar on my forums once I get approved.

whats google adsense? if u dont mind me asking lol

and why do u have to get approved?

MGM out

TheAnt 01-04-2004 04:20 AM

They have to check over your site to make sure it doesn't violate TOS.

As well, Adsense is those google ad-bars that you see people have on their sites, its an affiliate program, so you get money for clicks

Make sure you do not have any swearing on your forum or they'll deny you.

I'm not sure thats the case, the language on my forums would make most truckers cringe at times and I was approved for adsense

EDIT: and I put mine in my footer :)

gmtalk 01-06-2004 03:21 PM

i have mine in my footer.

RDX1 01-06-2004 04:06 PM

Would they allow adult content that contains no nudity?

Dean C 01-06-2004 05:44 PM

I can't see why not. You'd have to view their terms of service for that though :)

EDIT: They don't allow "pornographic, adult or mature" content so I think that's a thumbs down.

i hate adsense, i added it to my forums, and i got accepted, had it on for a week.... and then they said people arent ALLOWED to click the links.... so they took it off, and didnt pay me a dime

Alien 01-06-2004 09:31 PM

Can you elaborate on that? Can you quote the e-mail/communication from them telling you this?

you are not yourself allowed to abuse it or encourage others to click it. Like you cant make a post/thread saying click my adds.

What bugs me is that I have no swearing on my forum, if there is its filtered out by vB.

No mature content either.
