Photopost users
how often do you update as they seem to be releaving an update every 10 days or so
|
none yet
|
Have been using it over a year without any update, yet..... which makes the inevitable upgrade a really big project (along with vB and vbP someday).
Our system admin upgraded our server to php 4.3.3 last week and that blew out the whole gallery. If this happens to anyone else waiting to upgrade your program, you can fix that by going into your php.ini file and disabling output buffering. |
I usually update with each patch or a few days after .. I'm running the latest on my site now. I think less another update came out ;)
|
I upgrade when ever I remember to look, thanks to you I just upgraded. lol
|
IMO, if they have to release a new version that often, they should actually fix whatever it is they are trying to, and release a proper fixed version once, then work on another version with more features:rolleyes:

Please put out an upgrade for it then to suit VB3 better. Thats what I want, and I am a customer. ;)

they got it looking pretty good over at www.photoshopdev.com

PP is a great product, I only upgrade when a new version has some thing I want or I have time. The version I am currently running is almost 2 releases behind and is still aweome. My Gallery has over 67,000 photos and runs like a champ.

We were on a bit of a streak the past three months with three big upgrades. But that was done by the request of many of our BETA users who liked getting the features we were working on sooner than later. It also helped with testing to break the upgrades into three versions. When asked most of our testers replied that they would prefer more frequent updates with smaller feature updates than less frequent with large feature updates.
http://www.photopostdev.com has the intergations I worked on for vB3 and PhotoPost - about a half days work involved in the writing of the modifications and all of them have been posted on the site. I believe a set of templates which use vB3 classes was also posted by another user. Even more integrations are in the works. Happy New Year! |
