I'm seeing "vbTrader" mentioned in various posts, but I can't figure out what (or where) it is...

Any assistance??

It's being developed for vB3, I don't know about the vB2-version.

the vB3-Trader is close to completion, AFAIK :)

Well AKAICT, the developer has disappeared w/o a trace :rolleyes:

Anyone know how to contact the developer?

Something I am very interested in, where can i find details on it, searching forums pulled up one link that is now dead :(

The VB TRADER is ready for some testing

I am still working on the last of the functions (rating and paypal) but most of it is complete!

I would like to invite you all to register on the site and test the vb trader to the max .... add your own listings, bid ... whatever .... try every function, click on every link etc ....

I have set up a forum on the site for reporting bugs, suggestions and general discussions ... as well as discussing the trader in this thread

there is a lot of work there in coding ... keep im mind that guests only see about 30% of the total functions ;)

I just had vbtrader installed (not on vB3)...

Is there a main page created where the trade deals are posted?

I've sent that question to the installer, but I'm going nuts trying to find it...

well its nearly finished

I have about 4 scripts to finish and this is for the "buy now" functions and cron operations.

KuraFire has provided me with a copy of the Hack Tracking Log and the instalation files for the vb trader are also near complete

Yup, I can't wait for vbTrader and Jukebox from trafix either, they're great hack.

Also there is a HTL from Kura and Journal and my board is pretty much set :).

This starting to look really good. A quick question though about the graphics - I notice they all have a white background. Are plans in place to change that to transparent so they work on multiple styles/colors?

trafix, I sent you an email a few days ago that must have gotten lost in the shuffle - I temporarily lost VB Trader when I upgraded to vb3. Any idea of an ETA for the vb3-compatible release?

Sorry for the non reply but i have been very busy ....

i am still working on some areas of the trader, while others are bug finding for me.

I am hoping for a release once vb3 goes Gold ar at lease a couple of weeks .... i wanna make sure all/most of the bugs are aou before i release :) but to find the bugs i need others to look ... so if you have time to do some testing on my site it would be appreciated ;)

i only have 2 cron scripts to code then the vb trader is finished ..
i also have to work out the whos online stuff
then i gotta clean up the php files and templates .... and fix the remaining bugs

Still need bug testers on the site ;) you just could be rewarded for your effort :) plus it will help get the trader released faster.

Does anyone have vbtrader for vb2 for me?

Has this hack ever been released? Looks great and I'm needing something like this. I've already bought Photopost, but I'm not going to spend another 120+ for just their classifieds.

Its over $100 - but only if you can even reach the guy.

Someone should really do a decent classifieds. If I could code, I'd write one and give it away to everyone just based on the fact that there are no good ones out there. This is one area vB is REALLY lacking.

PhotoPost Classfieds is ok, we use it and it uses the same user database as vb3. If someone would just write a hack to make a simple text post in a classifieds forum every time a classified was entered, life would be good.
