Woot!!
Lol, jumps around the room!
My 3D max 5.1 Retail Cd just came in the mail !! My design collection other than plugins is almost complete now :P I've been saving since last summer for this... sorry had to post somewhere, not if my system was only dual cpu I'd be set ;) come to think of it a wacom would be nice as well ;) whats that old saying, "all in time" or something like that.. |
didn't 6 just come out
|
6.0 is coming out in mid october, the upgrade won't cost me very much thankfully, but in the mean time I have tool of trade which I need for my 3d models :) maya and Softimage or Cinama 4D are a bit out of my price range for tools still. And 3d max I've been using for a few years now..
|
i use my free ple of maya ;) but im waiting for the new photoshop 8 upgrade... mmm pentium 4 opimized :D
|
whens ps8 comming out, i havent heard much about it
|
yeah me neither and i've been waiting for it for agesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
can't of been waiting that long, it's out as photoshop cs |
I was just looking at adobe CS package, it's going to cost me $507 us, converted to canadain, to get upgrades for tools I have now... just spent a lot in upgrades, with max, seems like it's never ending.
The three tools in order I would upgrade Adobe Photoshop 7 to CS Adobe Golive 6.01 to CS Adobe Illustrator 10 to CS I guess they got board with numbering the versions of the adobe software.. I like the new look of the applications though. Time to start saving heh ... Looks like it's all Pre-Order at the moment, End of November is when Adobe CS stuff should be out. When you think of how much each program costs, $169 isn't to bad for full upgrade of each :) |
whats ps cs?
|
yep i like the new look, i hope they ripped what macromedia done with the pallettes on mx tho'

yep but then again it was the same with 6 -> 7
they're basically just porting Illustrator features over to ps and what sucks is they're failing to post over the vector system properly as better vector support would be awesome |
i was just watching the demo for it on their site and it looks quite good :)
7 was leaps further ahead than 6 was IMO |
I was really and still am really happy with photoshop 7.0 compared to 6.0 .. One major update I'm looking forward to is the new support for xhtml in golive cs as well...
I use a combination of tools for my designs, sites, and layouts etc... 4 or 5 different apps for webcoding, I prefer old school those aka hand writing a lot of the code for web design... Golive gives a lot of freedom in that respect ... I like the new look of the cs sweat over all but will be some months before i can upgrade :( |
i use dw to hardcode cos i'm backwards like that (the main reason is the refresh button) and also i like to reference some stuff and make sure i haven't forgotten other stuff, never used go live but i would love it if you could set imageready to print it's code using the xhtml standards, as i've always found that annoying
|
i heard they were adding a load of new photo touchup techniques and were gearing most of the ps8 upgrades towards that.
|
i guess being 'photo'shop that what it should be used for but i like making graphics in it and so would like the tools to do all that stuff
