Me

Well you are going to be seeing a ton less of me around the boards. Basically I'm trying to maintain my failing website. Working with N9ne on his network and trying to maintain a long distance relationship with a person I'm going to ask her to marry me soonish, at least when i get the money for the ring and the courage. So.... all this means less posting here and at all the other vB forums. Feels kinda weird knowing i won't be around much. Well I'll probably be back sometime after vB3 Gold is released(at this rate after new years).

Your 17 . . .

MaDCaT75 09-05-2003 12:33 AM

Thats kinda young there

Dan 09-05-2003 01:36 AM

And your point is? You do not think some people our age can have feelings that are strong enough to be able to go through that? We have been together for a long time and i feel its about time to take it to that level. Nothing can break us apart, we lived together for awhile till i had to move anyways. I really don't see why age is of any importance here.

You also need money, a place to live, a college education, experience, a job with benefits, etc.

Exactly. Just wait a few years. Its not like theres a big rush to get married IMHO. Where do you plan on living? In your parents house? How are you going to support her? You have to look at it realistically...... dont just base your jugement on feelings.

He's got a point i have to say. If you are good, then a few years not being married wont make a single difference.

At the end of the day its just a bit of paper, ok i know there is more to it than that but what im trying to say is that it will not change any feelings you have inside.

If your going to then congrats dude but listen to an old man, think long and hard as your education and a stability in life has to come first, that way you have a good solid start to married life.

Good advice from the members here. :)

True love can always wait.

Zachery 09-05-2003 10:15 AM

He did just say ask :\ maybe its going to be a long engagment?

Dan 09-05-2003 10:31 AM

Well now it is.... we are engaged now but we are going to wait untill after i graduate from college(same time she will)

Tony G 09-05-2003 12:52 PM

17, very early for marriage. But if you're waiting, then thats fine. Still, I think being engaged for all those years is going to affect you differently.

Anyway, good luck with everything.

I agree with everyone who said you're getting married to young. I may be young, but I think its a very bad idea to get married in your teens, its just doesn't work (Although im not saying your marriage wont, its just that ive seen young couples split up due to a young marriage)

But good luck to you:)

Correction - The majority don't work;)

My mum got married to my dad when she was only just 19, and they are still together:p
