minor problem of design on vborg

1 Attachment(s)
hello,

I just want to tell you about one minor problem founded on this forum

The alignment on the left of the forum is wrong.
Please see attachment

I work with Safari ( http://www.apple.com/safari/ )

Mephisteus 08-30-2003 06:00 PM

in that case, safari sucks :p. No probs here with IE.

assassingod 08-30-2003 06:25 PM

Yeah, I believe its been reported before:)

Erwin 08-31-2003 02:31 AM

We are not going to correct anything since we will be porting to vB3 once it goes RC. :)

Corbu 09-09-2003 07:36 PM

Thanks Erwin

NexDog 09-10-2003 10:29 PM

Get that in Moz too. :)

Xenon 09-10-2003 10:30 PM

why don't just use a browser which knows the standart? ^^

NexDog 09-10-2003 10:38 PM

Moz displays html as a real browser should. If you can design for Moz, you can design for anything. That is why I like it. :)

Plus I live in Japan and my OS is Japanese - hence IE is in Japanese. And Mozilla is in English - Bonus!. :D

Xenon 09-11-2003 02:16 PM

hmm, when i visited Nippon i could use the IE *g*
just download the english set from microsoft ;)

NexDog 09-11-2003 11:23 PM

Where would that be? :)

Xenon 09-11-2003 11:29 PM

hmm, normally you can download it from within the normal Windows Update symbol in start menu.

btw. where in good old nippon are you exactly?

NexDog 09-11-2003 11:49 PM

I have a windows update icon in the systray but there ain't no options. I live on the southern island of Kyushu, right down the bottom in Miyazaki prefecture, 40 miles inland west of Miyazki City on the border with Kagoshima. The small city is called Miyakonojo:

Xenon 09-12-2003 12:07 AM

hmm, i could download it from here, but if you don't see that option, i cannot help..
ask microsoft where to get an english explorer ;)

ahh, ok, please remind me of visiting you next time i'm at japan.
last time i was in kyoto and northern up to sapporo, so i'll visit souther part of japan when i got enough money for next flight ;)

NexDog 09-12-2003 12:12 AM

Well, I'm headed up to Nisseko in January for a bit of boarding if you're in the neighbourhood...

Tell me what you see under the start menu, see if I can match it up here. I speak Japanese very well, just can't read it.

NexDog 09-12-2003 12:51 AM

Win98 - ouch. ;)

XP here so it's a bit different....

Xenon 09-12-2003 12:54 AM

hmm, no idea then :)

Win98 is perfect for me, i'll never upgrade to WinXP ;)

SmEdD 09-12-2003 01:36 AM

ownage! Windows 98, you should really considering upgrading ;):p

Chris M 09-12-2003 07:22 AM

If you won't upgrade to XP, upgrade to 2000;)

Satan

Xenon 09-12-2003 02:55 PM

why?
win 98 does everything i need.

i've grown up with dos and i don't like that whole no dos things in winxp-2k....

SmEdD 09-12-2003 06:58 PM

It has a windowed dos mode but no actuall support like switching into it. Trust me it's worth it man.

Xenon 09-12-2003 07:00 PM

nope it's not i've compared it already on a friends PC.

i'll never switch over.

Chris M 09-12-2003 07:01 PM

Hmmm...

That is annoying...

Thats why I don't like XP - No DOS:(

There is a novel thing called the Command Prompt (cmd.exe) that gives a DOS box, and for the rare occassion you need real DOS mode the all you do is pop in a boot disk.

Yes but it isn't DOS...

Some things I want to install require proper DOS;)

Hence the use of a Boot Disk or emulation software that easily will do the job. I avoid the use of all 16bit programs under NT as they don't perform well and hence aren't properly supported.

It's still messed up in vB3 :ermm: (see attached)

Dean C 09-13-2003 10:35 AM

Yep I noticed it as i'm now using mozilla by default. Its just one of the many inaccuracies I see in mozilla too :)

Nah, it's just that IE tries to fix everything it sees, which isn't the best thing to do since you code inproper HTML then.
