Witch car should I fix up?

Ok im really having a hard time decideding on this..next april I will start work on my project car for a local club. The work is going to include a new paint job, a new stereo that will most likely include at least a 1,600 watt amp and four 12 inch sub-woofer's, also adding rim's.

Anyway the two cars I have are a 86 mustang 5.0 Gt, and a 72 cadi deville.

The mustang is pre-owned, the cadi is to but it is still more or less the way it was when It came out of the factory.

So, the mustang or the cadi? :)

Yay, going off topic again! but we're still on cars.

I have a toy car that can zoom around the floor...

I'd fix up the Stang.. Aftermarket performance parts are cheap for the 5.0.

I had a 1992 GT with TFS Twisted Wedge heads, custom comp cam, GT-40 intake, nitrous, and all the usual boltons:

Nice wheels, guys. :)

Jag XK8 is a nice car. I love cars. :)

I drive a BMW Z4 Roadster, and right now I'm looking to get some new amps/woofers in it.

And on topic, if I were you, I'd fix up the 72 Cadi...I mean, imagine how nice you could get that think. And with a nice engine, that could waste a Mustang in a race any day. I would work on the Cadi in a heartbeat. If it was a 60s model of the Stang, however, I would have to chose that. :)

Thats what I was thinking mitch, Ive seen a cadi the same modle as the one I got striped down that took everything on the strip that weekend.

But im not wanting anthor dragster, I already got the stang that has a few modifications already ;).

I think im going to go with the cadi, I need a pimp ride ;)

You are 15 years old and you drive a Z4???

We have some rich kids here. :)

The Jaguar XK8 is a cheap version of an Aston Martin DB7. :) Anyway, I would go for the Deville. Paint it a nice shiny jet black, and make sure your white walls aren't showing. Those who insist you should do the Mustang probably don't know what a Deville looks like and/or its potential. If you want to be like everyone else, though, go for the Mustang by all means. Give me the Deville if you don't want it; I think it would make a sweet ride even if it doesn't go 120.

Another thing you might want to consider is value. Pick up a classifieds paper for North Carolina. I bet you'll find a ton of ads for 1973-1986 Chevy pickups/suburbans/duallys, and I bet many of them will be under $2000. There are just too many of them in existence, and they're a little bit too old besides to have much value. The story will be the same with the generic sports cars (Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds, etc.) in twenty years, or maybe even worse since these cars don't seem to be built with longevity in mind. That Deville probably can only gain value if it's well-maintained.

I say the 'stang! They were still speed density in '86, but it was the first year for fuel injection.
