Just wondering How many people use HiveMail around here?

I for one have a Hivemail Licence ;)

I considered it for WDF, but the spelling mistakes everywhere in the screenshots made me think that the code reflected tiny errors everywhere, too.
edit: That's not meant to rip on Chen, BTW

I use HiveMail, I've done skins for people for the script, it is pretty nice. I don't have a license yet though. For my site, I'm not sure it would be worth the money to buy a license, because not a lot of people would use it. And I also think the licences are just a little bit overpriced. Chen did a nice job with it. :)

I like the price tag on my licence its soooo pretty :D

I think Chen's targeting it towards hosts rather than end users (for example, having the CPanel people use HiveMail rather than Horde or SquirrelMail), but I'm not sure.

That could not be further from the truth. HiveMail is for webmasters who want to have a webmail system on their system, it's not meant to act as a server-wide webmail interface.

Oh...sorry :) Was the intention I was sensing. Of course I'm sure you wouldn't mind a deal with the CPanel people ;)

What i did was signed up at vBnl and entered and acted like a normal member..... Now I'm a crazed member with HiveMail :D

What kind of bandwidth consumption are people experienceing with hivemail. Im interested in what 100 or 500 or more accounts
consume in bandwidth

You might want to post at HiveMail's support forums but I'd imagine there's no way to accurately even come close to guessing. It's just like vB: it depends on usage, settings, graphics, etc.

I bought it during the April 1st sale. Best web deal I've ever done. Great product.

Apparently it was around $30 or $40. Of course, to my knowledge, vB itself has never gone on sale. I also don't put my software on sale because I think it rips off people who were a day or two off.

Some called it a tactic of desparation which I don't think was fair; besides, Chen sold quite a few licenses that day after reading all the posts here and at vB.com, so it seemed to work all right ;)

Heh, I hope they have a sale like that again sometime in the future... that was a great deal, I regret passing up on it. :(

I would totaly buy a license for hivemail if it was like 60 bucks... I really like that progie :) I am just sooo poor after buying vB... lol
