What should I do with my vBulletin license now?
 

Ok so in my other thread I said I got backstabbed by the admin that I was so kind to share my vBulletin license with. Now that I am gone from that place for good it seems, what should I do with my vBulletin license now? I really dont have the money for hosting and bandwidth, any ideas here?

I just was hoping I could have my own forum maybe or something. Like someone would be in need of vB, I dunno.

developing a vB is not hard. designing a site is.

I suggest you keep it for now, and try running your own forums. Or make a partnership with someone else, making clear the terms of the partnership, so if things fall through, the ownership of the license is not in question.

I gave him some space to host it on. So he should be all set for awhile.

IMO theres no skill there whatsoever.

I have vBulletin forum 3.6.4 since december 2006. But I don't know my vBulletin license, so where to look in administration panel to find it?
My friend bought the forum to me - as a birthday present and he found some hosting servis and everything. I only recieved admin user and pass.

if you have 3.6.4 since dec 06, then you'll want to Upgrade to a more stable edition, To be able to do this you'll need to log into your members area which you will need your customer number.

if your "Friend" bought you this and has not given you your customer number then your soooooo STUCK!!! :eek::eek:

If i was you i would cross him off your christmas card list, and have nothing more to do with him, What sort of a friend would do that??? Its like buying you a car and not giving you the keys :D
