vb3 acp

what do you all think?

Xenon 06-26-2003 08:16 PM

nice, but full ;)

for unexperienced it can be hard to use

Erwin 06-26-2003 11:17 PM

Very nice actually. :) Much better than the previous version.

I wouldn't say it's much better--so many list boxes and no static HTML trees anymore :(--but each to his own :)

Erwin 06-26-2003 11:26 PM

I like it. Wish it was template based and easier to modify.

I can't find the old settings.php file... must be another way to remove or add settings...

Brad 06-26-2003 11:31 PM

Im with Erwin on this one, Love the new Admin cp.

[Fx]AssAssiN 06-26-2003 11:53 PM

AssAssiN]I love the new look but kinda confusing at first glance. :)

Rose 06-27-2003 01:20 AM

I like the new acp, but I'd prefer it to be friendlier on an 800x600 resolution. :s

Lesane 06-27-2003 05:57 AM

New acp is great, i don't like the colors though.

sabret00the 06-27-2003 09:01 AM

i saw it and thought what's this all about then, but going thru the options i'm in love, i think they really have outdone themselves, it's progression.

think the colours could be better but i just assume it's something to do with the colours of the new final style for vb3, who knows, one thing i can say i don't like tho' is not being able to find the options to change the size of the photo's and avatars, no doubt i'll find it in time, but it should really be as easy as it is for the attachments

enable debug mode and while browsing the options, you can see a lot of links to add or remove settings/groups ;)

found it in the user group management, only problem with this now is how would the store work, e.g. members can't have custom av's before XX post count but can indeed buy them from the store, oh well i've gotta go so can't spend time figuring that out

yea or what about features that effect the username? If you have certain markups set for usergroups, people could re-create it. Thus copying a unique look that only the admin wants to have...

try running in debug mode, each box has a edit/add/remove link on the right, in the title.

to late floris, i already posted that ^^

I like it. I especially like debug mode, much better than vB2s.

sabret00the 06-28-2003 01:56 AM

well with vb3.00b4 just come out, they've improved the acp imo with the colour picker, altho i rarely go for predefined colours but :p

Zelda-King 07-01-2003 10:16 PM

I really like it.

Silver mode needs some work on the colours in the 'create new style' section I reckon.

I also noticed HTML doesn't work in as much of the admin cp as before. Example: on vB2 I could give myself an HTML location in my profile. On vB3 the location will just show the code.

That failed logins log. Very handy!
