Battle system. Great addon.
 

One member of my crew is php/mysql guru. So he wants to create ultimate battle system to use with vbulletin and without it. He found 4 people more, who will write this system for our site and for other people.
At that time we collect some ideas to add them to our TODO list. Please, if you have any ideas, any suggestions, post them here.
On other hand it is good to have some ground to work on it. In internet I know 2 sites, which have a battle system installed. May be this battle systems were created by their crew, but i dont think so. Probably anyone knows battle-scripts, which are ready and are used in any sites. Can anyone give a link to such sites?

+ duels, group battles; all with weapons or without
+ stats: strenge, health, dexterity, intuition, expirence

+ special moderators with special options
+ logs of battles using with vbjournal
+ clan system
+ administration via admin cp
+ reputation system(like karma)

inc level up options .. like.. you posting and randomly come apon a monster which you must battle to, if you win you win experience, if you loose, you loose experience.

The higher your posts the greater the power of the monster you fight :) and when you kill them they may drop items or gold :)

yeah, we will make something like "death room", where players fight with bots(monsters or...)
we need some examples of battle-scripts, that were made at that moment. it gives us opportunity not to make some mistakes.

Since then i've added a checkbox on newthread to signify whether the thread is a battle or not and an option thread prefix on forumdisplay for battles too :)

does anybody know any system, made like text rpg for playing in internet with other people? it can be based on cgi, asp...

why would you want to know any... so you can steal their ideas?

why "steal"? probably you always steal other ideas and put not your code in your hacks, but we began to make all this big addon using no ready scripts.
but unfortunately we just wanted to know, is there in world wide web other battle systems, and we wanted no to make a duplicate.
if it's restricted for people to know those kind of information, than SORRY XELATION.

ps: it's difficult to explain your word's xelation, because i have no respect for people like you, who think that there are not good ideas, but there are stolen ideas.

I have to build off of a already made script even if it changes everything. Like I'll re-wright the whole thing but I can't just sit down and start typeing. I donno why but I'm just like that. Also it could be I'm only 17 and havn't taken any real programming corses.

Look in beta forums theres something similar to this. It's actually pretty cool.

The only 'free' battle system i know of, and it is a RPG battle system, is on this site in the vB2 section in the Beta part.

The best battle systems are ones you make yourself.

Worth it or not, if his can do just as much for cheaper...then hades if I pay 50 bucks when I can get the same thing for cheaper.
