Yep Yep and Yep! I've told about 6 people about it now including you, it's too exciting, lets see, when I first get vB3 installed, I'm gonna temorarily ban someone because guess what, it's a feature ;).

vB3 is faster than vB2 for me;)

However, some features (like Karma) and their QRB (Quick Reply Box) are not to my liking;) But luckily, I think we can turn Karma off, and the QRB is just template edits:)

As stated, vB3 is much faster than vB2, and even though every site flies for me, I see an improved speed with vB3;)

As we decided together with the devs:

It is a BETA release. Also if it's for public it's beta, so there won't be official hack support on vb.org until it's in RC state.
No vb3 hacks will be released here during this beta stage.

Why should i be excited?
Heck it's just code. I'm intrested in how it'll look, how good they've coded, but if it takes another 10 year i won't have a problem with it, i can also work with vb2, so no need in beeing excited

Can't you wait for the new hacking challenge once we get vB3...? To read the code and learn how vB3 works?

I for one will have to firstly learn how on Earth vB3 works because it was re-written...

Also it is not an officials release date, it's just a BETA release, and you know what can happen in betas ;)

And release is release - beta or no. Like many others, I can't wait to get my hands on it, beta or no, to see it. Feel it. Stare at it. Watch it. *lol* Oh, and play with it, of course.

Why, i have enough challenge on vb2 and other coding works i do.
Ok it's nice to enter a new field, but i'm entering new field more often than just when a new vb comes out ;)

Also i don't even have the time to get excited, my work as a student has to stay prior vb works, and excitement wouldn't really help :)

:) It's obvious, as life isn't that positive as we want to have it.
So seeing the negative aspects is just realistic :)

Specifically, we already have a crude forum structure set up for vB3. We just don't have the hack db the way we want it, etc.

i dont like the look of vb3 i prefer 2.29 tba
