Pocket PCs

So I got a Casio E-125 off eBay for a damned good price (giving that the seller doesn't specialize in technology, I suspect he didn't research enough so I grabbed it using Buy It Now only four hours after it was listed).

Questions:

1. Can anybody say specifically whether it runs Pocket PC 2002 or an older version? I've seen sites list it as Pocket PC, Pocket PC 2002, and Windows CE 3.0 (which I think is the same thing).

2. Can you upgrade a Pocket PC's OS later on, either for free or buying the new OS from Microsoft?

3. Anybody tried to run an 802.11b CompactFlash card in a Pocket PC?

I've used Pocket IE before which majorly sucked, but I think I know ways of improving it, not to mention to have mobile e-mail and AIM.

1. Okay, established that it's running PPC 2000, although I thought Windows CE 3.0 was 2002...

2. Can't find anything except for iPaqs, still appreciated, though...

3. Can't find anything (positive or negative)...

Yay, my baby came today :D

For future reference by anybody:

1. PPC 2000 but Windows CE 3.0.4-digit number
2. No, except for the rare exception of a few iPaqs
3. SMC's CF card works perfectly fine for me.

Everybody who has a Pocket PC, bookmark and download AIM.exe on this page immediately (under Windows CE)!

PPC is the only platform on which AIM actually costs money, so better to use this old (but just tested and functional) version of AIM than pay $20. :)

Also, if you are having problems browsing your PPC via the "My Device" section in Windows Explorer, disable ZoneAlarm. You can also try adding localhost to the trusted sites zone but that didn't immediately work for me.

How do I format my forums to be viewed on my PPC?

This is like a filburt1 talks to filburt1 thread :p

I have an Ipaq running PPC2000 as well... pretty useful :) Pocket IE is okay, but I only use it to check emails and maybe check up on an important site (too small to browse much on). Plus the cost of wireless is a bit high still.

Basically by completely stripping nearly everything from every template everywhere. I got the core of WDF to work (forumdisplay, showthread, forumhome, newreply, newthread, and most of the PM templates except for tracking and folder organi[s|z]ation.

BTW, I did make one tiny hack: in global.php, it checks to see if you're using Pocket IE, and if so, overrides the style set. The PPC style set I made isn't user-selectable.
