Comments on my site I'm making
1 Attachment(s)
Ok after getting ideas from all of your high school/college/etc. sites you posted this is what I've come up with for my high school's site. It's not finished, but before I get too far into it what are some suggestions to make it cooler. :D
Colors: Red and Black Masot: Mountain Lion (Or a cougar they're the same thing) If your feeling REALLY bored and think some of it needs your touch feel free to make any graphics etc. for it since I know I'm not GFX Guru :D So what do you guys think about it? |
looks good, u finished it yet?
|
I don't like the red or the fonts... Be simple :)
Remember fancy stuff for a high school is not going to impress many people :) - miSt |
Ok no dots and what kind of font should I use, are we talking like Verdana here?
|
I'm talking simple fonts like arial, verdana tahoma :)
And if i was being honest i'd drop the red all together. Use simple shades of very light greys and just make it simple :) - miSt |
Except the colors of the school is red and black and I'm not sure if they would like something not in school colors, if you have an example or something I can visualize maybe I can try it.
|
Well red designs are very rare. Intigrate the emblem into the logo and then keep your simple style :)
The whole site doesn't have to be based around two stark colors :) - miSt |
Don't like it being all the same color, but the layout is fine.
|
Hmmm...ok I'll try to work on that this weekend with whatever time I have (it's prom weekend :))
Would a black background look better? |
No white - with light shades of grey and medium grey px borders ;)
Black is such an awkward color as you have to use light colors to work with it and then you have the combination of light and dark which is hard to read for online users :) - miSt |
So should I just avoid red altogether? Or have some light red or what?
|
Avoid red all together and only use it for the logo :)
