Admins can see passwords
I know you can change passwords in the admin cp but is there a way to view a users password?
|
No.
|
Ok, thanks for your help ;)
|
Well it's by design ;). The admin should never need to know anybody's password anyway thanks to the Lost Password form.
|

Not everyone knows that passwords are hashed using md5.
Dave. |
in vb1 they weren't but it's a security risk...
even normal md5 hashing can be insecure, that's why vb3 uses anotherway :) |

csidlernet,
You are currently showing up as unlicensed. To be able to download hacks and/or receive support here at vBulletin.org, we ask you to please click here (vB-germany users click here) and enter your email address, to show us that you are licensed. You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive. Thank you. |
I don't like md5, because if you get the database leaked, 500 simple user passwords can be bruted in a day...

turkpamey: Come again?
